    Excellent fermentor
    Review by Chrison 01/09/2016
Great sturdy fermentor, takes up slightly less room than a 23l bucket and much sturdier. Very easy to handle with 2 grab handles at the top. Less chance of spillage if you have to move this when full with a strong screw on lid. I've found this great to brew in, just bottled a coopers Mexican.

Quality vessel, issue with lid though
    Review by Leeon 04/06/2016
Supplied lid doesn't appear to tighten as it should. Get's to a point then just keeps spinning. Had to use a large amount of petroleum jelly on the thread to get it air tight.

I now have two of these
    Review by Tonyon 20/03/2016
With the purchase of a Grainfather, and the opportunity to be able to make batches easier and more frequently, I decided to purchase another one of these as I was happy with the first one.

    Works as it should do

Works as it should do. The tap at the bottom makes it a lot easier to bottle

Wish i got this as my primary fermentor!
    Review by Ewanon 09/02/2015
Great design, durability and mobility. extra space is amazing when brewing fruit like strawberries, nice and wide with more room to let the gas pass the fruit. If you dont have floating fruit then you have a few extra litres of brew to make!

    Great product
    Review by BekiiMCRon 28/12/2014
My boyfriend's getting into beer brewing after doing wine for a year or so and my brother recommended nearly all the kit on this site. He's been brewing beer and cider for over 3 years and had bits and bobs from a few places, but said the quality of item on here is second too none for the price. Also it comes with the tap which is perfect. 5 stars and 2very happy brewers!

    good product with excellent sevice
    Review by Davidon 04/12/2012
A good product but I agree that the tap is a little too high for my taste. Excellent service as always.

Nice barrel, but tap mounted a bit too high for my taste.
    Review by Radtooon 21/03/2012
A nice study plastic barrel with a design-wise very decent tap, certainly suitable for fermenting wine. Presumably also good for beer, but I haven't tried that yet.

The little problem I have with this combo is the tap's mounting position, which is a bit elevated and will not allow me to access the last gallon of liquid at the bottom of the barrel.

To get the other half-gallon I usually feel I ought to additionally be able to get out of such a fermenter before too much of the sediment comes along, I still have to use a siphon, which at least partly defeats the purpose of having a tap...

PS: Don't forget to get something like a rubber bung and airlock, too, if you don't have these already - they are not included.

    Worth the extra
    Review by Andrewon 20/09/2011
Worth the extra cash to have it drilled and with the tap. So much easier to drain off after fermentation with the tap and as long as you use vasaline on the connecting parts (lid and tap) you are unlinkly to get leaks.
