Great Value - well worth a try
    Review by Daveon 01/02/2014
This is my 2nd foray into the 7 day wines.

This one is slightly cheaper than some of the others but does need the addition of 4Kg of sugar. (Tip: Look for the 5kg bags in the supermarkets)

It was ready in the 7 days, but (possibly me) it had what can best be described as a "nail varnish remover" bouquet. But tasted fine with a slight kick / after taste. But drinkable :-)

However 1 week later and this seems to have gone away and is definitely an excellent low cost nice taste option

I'm working my way through the Chardonnay options available here and am sure I'll be back for more of this in the future

So plan ahead 7 days to brew and at least 7 days in the bottle prior to drinking

    fast and fine wine
    Review by stuarton 08/05/2013
I have been purchasing this kit from Tesco for about 8 months, after trying many other wine kits and have found it to be the best 1 week wine so far, then Tescos stopped selling it so I looked online and found it here, I had at first done something stupid myself and complained which was promptly emailed back to by A Director of the company But I quickly sorted it myself and placed the order of 4boxes, the service was very quick only 2 days with no stupid premium price for postage.
Thank you Brewuk and also GREG HUGHES for a quick response to my email.

    Easy and fast wine making

This Chardonnay is ready to drink in a week after starting. It tastes good after this time but gets better if left for a couple of months.

    Youngs WineBuddy 30 bottle Kit
    Review by neilon 16/07/2012
I have made this wine for a number of years now, and it is one of the easiest packs to make. It is true that you can drink it after 7 or 8 days, but the flavour improves the longer you keep it. 3 weeks is fine, but then you need to get another kit on the go to stop you running out!! Only point I would mention is regarding the degassing instruction. I would recommend a full 5 minutes of aggressive stirring to get ALL the gas out, because it makes a considerable difference to the appearance of the finished wine. Not degassed equals a slightly cloudy finish. Proper degassing results in a bright clear wine which is an excellent summer quaffing wine for the garden. I however, drink it all year round:-) Recently started using BrewUK for my supply and I have to say that the price is right and the delivery and packaging is great. Ordered in 3 kits = free postage. What more can I say, Cheers.

    Great value white
    Review by Tonyon 13/02/2012
Although the finished wine only contains 20% fermented grape juice, the rest made up with water, sugar (4 kg, not included) and a flavouring pack, this is as good as you'll find in the lower price range on the supermarket shelves, and really is ready to drink in 7 days. and does not really improve with time.
Personally, I prefer the sauvignon blanc. The reds are perfectly acceptable vin ordinaire, but with such a small proportion of grape juice, you get no depth of colour, flavour or character. For reds, use their cellar 7 range, which contain considerably more grape concentrate for a few pounds extra., and the sugar is included in the price.
