Rating Nice variation on the theme
Review by Paulon 24/01/2016I'm already a fan of the standard saison but thought I'd give this a try for variation.
Early days yet but after a week bottled I'd say this is another keeper.
I managed to transfer to my second fermentor with fitted tap etc and get this in a new spare fridge for the requisite 2 weeks and the result is pretty good. I'll be running some batches of lager types again now to perfect the procedure. -
Rating Saison saved
Review by Crookedshedon 03/10/2015After much disappointment when I went wrong with a pretty undrinkable batch of the standard saison kit, I decided to gave this West Coast version a go hoping that a saison home brew could taste good after all. This was superb. Kept the fermentation temperature a bit higher with the Wyeast and the result was probably the best bottle of beer I've made yet (my eighth brew). Light and tangy with the Belgium yeast flavour. Clear with very little sediment. Excellent. -
Rating Grew on me
Review by simonon 27/09/2015A strong flavoured Belgium style beer. Originally chose it because I thought it might be similar to Brewdog's Electric India (it's not). It is however an excellent drink, one which I would brew again.
