    Crisp but not even
    Review by AlexPon 08/11/2017
A solid porter base and good vanilla nose, particularly when young, but having had a few of these now for some months, don't feel that the vanilla stays other than as a slight aroma. However a nice balanced porter non the less

    Best Pint ever
    Review by Seanon 14/06/2016
The favourite beer of mine. Unique in flavour and a pleasure to drink although I brew it at a lower than recommended 3.6 . It is best left for 8 weeks in the bottle for the softer fuller flavour in my experience but is good to drinnk at 4.

How rewarding to have made this and shared with appreciative friends. I've moved on to AG brewing but I shall revisit this one without a doubt. Buy and try with confidence!

Great for those cold Winter nights.
    Review by PhilWon 08/01/2016
I let this one mature for a few months in the bottle before sampling. Lovely burnt, toasty malt flavors. Vanilla is just there in the background but not pronounced which I like. Would reduce priming sugar next time as it's a little lively for a porter. Excellent color and nose for such a simple brew. Would recommend.

    Absolutely fantastic

Sampled after a week and a half in the bottle, very smooth with a lovely vanilla flavour, will obviously get better if matured , this is going to be one of my favourites

    Outstanding flavour
    Review by Seanon 20/09/2015
A first time brewing experience under guidance of my next door neighbour who introduced me to this beer. Have never tasted beer as good as this, smooth, complex flavours and straight forward to make providing you can spend the time required. Allow a month for it to mature and it it is even better after two months based on experience of my neighbours at one and two month stages. I'm not a drinking man, a pint is enough for me but this beer is unique and ready to drink after being bottled for a month. Have reordered to avoid running out :). The light ale kit will now be rescheduled to be brewed later.

I wasn't sure i was going to like this beer due to the vanilla as i thought it maybe a bit overpowering but i was really surprised at how much i liked it a very professional result would definitely buy it if it were served in a pub top marks very sessionable too for a dark beer which is always important lol

    Great beer ,very much recommended.
    Review by Tonyon 19/02/2015
We bulked the grain quantities & added 70g of chocolate malt for a larger brew of just under 24 L. Also added 500g of extra dark spray malt.Looked & smelt great all through the brewing process. We ended up with 46 bottles with 4.33%ABV which was pretty close to original recipe. Had a tasting last night after only five & half weeks from brew night. We all loved it,great beer.

    Outstanding!
    Review by Daveon 21/01/2015
I just love this stuff brewed as instructed and the flavour is top notch even after a month of curing, I had a little sample just from the leftovers and it tasted great now it's far better again. The vanilla comes through so much it's unreal, a cheap kit yeah but it's amongst the best I've done to date (still hard to beat the Amarillo tho)
