    My All Time Favourite
    Review by Peter Kon 14/11/2016
I cannot speak highly enough of this kit. It is my 'go to' brew.
Great fun to make, tastes fantastic.
Reading through the other reviews, it seems I am not alone!! Mind you, quite a few of the reviews are mine.....Absolutely, it's wonderful.

    Memorable
    Review by Paulon 16/10/2016
I used to drink this a lot many years ago but it isn't very available where I live now. I did make a business trip to Halifax recently and took the opportunity to reacquaint myself! The kit was actually waiting in the cupboard to be done but not in there long after my return! It's a little early to say after. 2 weeks conditioning but first sampling indicates it will be pretty close to the original.

    I Repeat "Pure Nectar"
    Review by Peter Kon 21/07/2016
My all time personal favourite, which explains why I have made batch after batch after batch.
If there was only one extract kit available, then I would want it to be this one. In my opinion this is as close to perfection as you can get. It is so smooth, has great balance & just the right amount of complex flavours.
I do add more sugar for secondary fermentation than the instructions say, but I also allow more conditioning time. Can't rush a good thing, right?

    Pure Nectar
    Review by Peter Kon 20/06/2016
Quite simply fantastic. Great fun to make and tastes sublime. I seem to get through this considerably quicker than others that I have made. Will be ordering more, that's for sure. I've got plenty of lighter, citrussy & hoppier stuff for friends and family, so this one is all for me; happy days.

Great ale, will be ordering more.
    Review by Richardon 06/05/2016
This pack produced an ale very similar to commercial Landlord. I made my gf do a taste test between the two beers, she preferred the homebrew - less fizzy, and a touch sweeter. This was two weeks into bottling. Five weeks in, and the difference is even less (less sweet, harder bitter edge, drier finish) - although it's hard leaving the beer alone for that long! I used Danstar Nottingham yeast at 22C, primary fermentation was over in 4 days, left in FV for another 10 days before bottling. Would have been 5 stars, but both hop packs were labelled 'styrian goldings' (one should have been East Kent goldings), so unsure if a mistake was made in labelling or content. Still tasted great, either way.

You will never go back to kits after this
    Review by Benon 18/03/2016
This is my second attempt at this TT clone. Sadly the first one had numerous problems ranging from poorly labelled ingredients to a splitting barrel, leaking tap and dodgy water. In the end I had to throw it all away as air got into it and most leaked on the floor
However I am glad I persevered as this one has had none of that, its 4 weeks in now and tastes great, miles better than any ready made kit and on par with the real thing. I live in West Yorkshire so keep telling myself that its spot on because of the same local water!
I reckon if I can leave this alone for 2-3 more weeks its going to be perfect! I will never go back to kits now after trying this! My only worry is the pressure barrel splitting again

    My New Favourite
    Review by Peter Kon 24/02/2016
A Christmas present and how lucky am I? This has turned out stunningly good, just as many other reviewers have stated. Better than the Black Sheep extract kit by a fair old margin, in my opinion; taste is much more complex and varied. It has interesting, yet balanced, smooth subtle notes throughout. Just done a blind taste comparison with the real thing and there is practically no difference. Friends & relatives reckon it's too "biscuity" for their liking and can't they have a Proper Job instead. Fine by me; they can have the light citrus hoppy PJ and I will happily stick with the TTL.
Don't hesitate about trying this kit; it's a cracker.

Lovely colour, intriguing notes of fruit & spice - easy to make!
    Review by drbon 30/10/2015
First time of making this one - albeit, many other BrewUK recipes under my belt.

Really like this one - hints of apple, warm & toasty grain, caramel malt, with a sweet (honey-like) back drop. There's a nice citrus hint too which, for me, balances out the sweetness as I am not a fan of over-sweet beers.

    Best home brew ever
    Review by Justinon 06/10/2015
This is the 2nd TT extract kit I have bought, as the first did not last long at all, even my dad said its the best home brew he has tasted. And as I am a beginner at brewing, was very happy with results....easy to follow instructions, with a lovely tasting beer.

Tastes just like the real thing, delicious.
    Review by derekon 29/04/2015
This is the second Landlord I've made, the only problem I have is adding the malt extract to the boil as it clogs up into a solid lump as soon as it hits the steam. I would like to know if there is a way round this?

    Lovely!
    Review by Dominicon 12/11/2014
First time I've tried doing a recipe kit rather than one of the hopped wort extract ones. Took longer than I was used to to arrive at a product I was happy with. With the amount of water recommended I did end up with very little wort left after the boil making it difficult to dissolve all the DME, so next time I'll just start with a little more water or try a full boil. Delicious results. Slightly less hoppy than the real thing in my case but definitely recognisable and with quite a nice malty character.
  • it seems to be a great brew

    Another Brew UK success
    Review by Timmehon 22/12/2013
Brewed back in August and this tastes brilliant, went with the 1469 yeast. It's very close to the original in all aspects and has been going down well with all who have tried it.
As with all brews, they better with conditioning and this is no exception, I didn't think much of it after 6 weeks but now I'm loving it! :D

Stunned and cannot stop testing it
    Review by Mikeon 18/11/2013
Being my first attempt at extract brewing, plus the fact that I split it into two batches (only got a small 15 litre fermenter) made me a bit worried. I put the brew into a 12 litre keg after 10 days or so with sugar solution for finishing and was a bit worried after a few days as it tasted very sweet. Nevertheless after a week or so it has matured and I can't stop trying a glass or two each day. Fantastic stuff! I live in a beer desert in Malaysia and so it is a pleasure to have this. The remaining batch is bubbling away as I write. One thing, it is really carbonated coming from the keg but that just means I have to wait a few minutes for it to settle down.

Good quality pale ale, not quite imitation
    Review by JD brewingon 30/04/2013
This was the first extract kit we had tried and were very careful to get it right. Such a massive improvement on the simpler kits, yet still not much difficulty. Not quite the same as a Landlord but it was nicer to feel like it was our own beer anyway.

Overall, a good quality pale ale recipe pack.

    Timothy Taylor Landlord
    Review by Deniseon 06/04/2013
Our local keeps a good pint of this and my husband has said for months he'd love to have a go at brewing his own. So for Valentines day I bought him this kit...We've rarely been to the pub since. This is the first time in many years that my husband has had a go at brewing his own beer, I remember how awful they where back then! however I'd say this brew is just as good as our local or even better. Looking forward to summer BBQ's and some more tasty beers.

    Another superb extract kit
    Review by Paulon 18/01/2013
This is my second extract brew and another winner. I try these out on my friends and they are always impressed. My only regret with this one is that I was a bit careless when adding the water and ended up adding a bit too much so I didn't get quite the level of flavour I wanted. Great result nevertheless.

    Not bad at all
    Review by Jojoon 27/10/2012
I have started Extract brewing as my Grain equipment was damaged by my ex girlfriend.......This beer was too sweet for ages and i had all but given up on it, however....i had a 3month old pint of it last night out of the barrel and i must say it was "PRO" it really was good, cheap but amazing!
