Good kit, pretty good clone of the original
    Review by Billon 25/09/2017
I like this kit, nice and easy to use and the end result is pretty close to the real thing.

It ferments like mad so use a blow-off tube rather than a bubble type air-lock unless you have loads of headspace.

It also got pretty hot, It got up to nearly 25 degrees without any heating when it started off at 20 and ambient was well below that. Perhaps could benefit from chilling.

Only niggle was that I wish they would include a whirlfloc tablet like some other kits do.

    Still My All Time Favourite
    Review by Peter Kon 03/06/2017
Have made loads of extract TTL LL kits, with great success, and have now gone over to All-Grain.
This is a fantastic beer and even though I made a minor schoolboy error in what was only my second all grain brew (and too embarrassing to mention), it was still awesome. I say 'was' because it was extremely popular and so has been savoured all too quickly. Next TTL LL kit has already been ordered/arrived/waiting for brew day..............

Good choice for a first brew
    Review by Billon 24/04/2017
I bought this kit to be the first kit I used with my new grainfather as I know the beer well and I thought it would help me judge how well I was doing. The instructions were easy to follow and as far as I can tell everything has worked fine. The beer is still conditioning but I had a sample direct from the primary FV and it seemd pretty good then so I think it is going to be OK.

My only suggested improvement would be if they include a wirfloc tablet in the kit. I've bought kits from other vendors and I think that is a nice touch so you both get a fresh tablet and remember to put one in the boil.

Wow this thing ferments like a monster.
    Review by Paulon 22/03/2017
Within 12 hours of pitching the yeast the krausen was escapeing from the 5" headroom in my fermenter through the airlock the thing had a life of its own so I ended up using a blow off tube.
Hopefully this will turn out to be as good as the other reviews suggest.

Very Authentic and Nice But Simple too
    Review by Martinon 08/10/2016
So similar to the real thing I would genuinely struggle to tell it apart and I used to live near the brewery in Keighley! Very simple recipe with easy instructions to follow. Fermentation took just 6 days before bottling then 14 days at 20 degrees and 14 days at 12 degrees.

    Very nice beer

A very nice pint while it lasted. Tasted it alongside the real thing and was very impressed, the main difference being the amount of carbonation.

    Fast conditioning and tasty
    Review by Craigon 31/05/2016
I've been very pleased with this pack. It fermented very vigorously, blasting through the airlock, but without any ill effect. I transferred it into a King Keg and tried a small glass after two weeks, to check that secondary had happened. It was perfectly clear (I used Protofloc and filtered it into the keg) and three pints later I was happy that it was ready to drink. My neighbour has since confirmed this verdict. It's pleasantly hoppy and bitter, without any grapefruit taste I used to get in younger days with kits. Definitely a keeper.

    Something went wrong
    Review by Johnon 29/10/2015
This pack was as easy to use and make as all the others I've made. Fermentation was amazing but I left it too long in the fermenter and I think I allowed an infection to get in and then I went on holiday. All my own fault. Still drank it but not happy to share with others.

Excellent flavour and relatively easy process.
    Review by Kenon 05/05/2015
This was my first attempt at brewing from the grain etc, but it was not too dificult and the result was exceptional.
  • Very convenient
    Review by Andyon 07/07/2014
This product is for my first AG brew - it was very convenient to be able to obtain the correct quantities of ingredients in a single pack (bags). The enclosed information sheet was also very useful. The ultimate success of the result will be dependant on my processes & techniques, but the recipe pack gave me a great start, Will not promise to save you a pint as I will need to drink it myself!

    Many thanks

This is my first order from brewuk and am impressed with the service. I'm eagerly waiting for the right time to do the mash and will comment later as I'm waiting for an empty F/V. Maybe I should buy another !

    Review by jvbhon 26/01/2014
Just tried this for the first time and bought some Timothy Taylor Landlord from the local supermarket to compare. Both beers are identical in colour and texture, and the taste is indistinguishable: Impressive. Will definitely be making this again.

excellent beer and easy as ever
    Review by stevenon 29/01/2013
was asked to do this beer for a friends party and he wanted it in a barrel not bottles so got it going good and early. easy instructions and a pleasure to make.

fermented and barreled in 2.5 weeks. I left it in the barrel for a month plus then took it to my mates a few weeks before his party to let it settle.

lots of people tried this and wanted me to make them some but sadly my job gets in the way.

was a very nice beer and just as good as any pint of the same in a pub

    highly reccommended

service from brewuk spot on as ever

    Great idea
    Review by Chalky85on 23/01/2013
    Product came fairly quickly.

So easy that it comes with the exact amounts needed. wish there was more choice and others doing similar products.

Not tried yet but for a first all grain it's a great introduction not having to worry about measuring.

    Well worth it
    Review by Simonon 28/03/2012
The first time I made this coincided with me buying a pint of the stuff in pub for >£3.00. I was new to AG brewing, I used BIAB methods (so no expensive kit) and - above all - it genuinely convinced me that home brew can make stuff as good as you buy. Haven't looked back. This, and other BrewUK kits, come highly recommended.

    Excellent Product
    Review by Philipon 10/02/2012
I've bought this pack 3 times now and been very happy with it. The first time it came with either the black malt separately or an extra pouch by mistake. Anyway the black malt is normally mixed in with one of the barley bags so don't fret if you can't find it as I did the second time.

This was also the first All Grain brew that I attempted and as Timothy Taylor's Landlord is one of my favourite ales it stood up to comparison with the original.

    Happy Brewing!
