    Great intro to AG
    Review by Darylon 28/03/2015
Firstly - just drank the first couple of bottles of this last night and its great! Not good for homebrew, but good for beer!

This was my first attempt at AG on my own and these kits are ideal. It allowed me to have a proper go at it AG brewing and test how i got on without having the full upfront cost.

As per the other review the instructions could be a little clearer - they do take a few reads. I had been through an all grain brew once before and that helped, but a few more details for the total novice would be good. Only a slight niggle - but otherwise a great kit!

havent tasted it yet but some feedback on the brewing process
    Review by Michaelon 12/03/2015
I haven't tasted this yet, I am two days into fermentation and looking promising. The smells are really nice so my dining room smells like a pub at the moment.

With regards to the brewing process, this was my first all grain and I would have probably found this easier if I had done one previously. The instructions aren't super clear and I had to read them a couple of times. I think there could be a little bit more information in areas but generally I got through it ok. I later found out that there are some critical points within the process which I maybe didn't spend enough time controlling the brew in areas.

The biggest issue I had was when it came to adding the yeast, it told me to add half of the yeast to boiled water, fine, I got that part. But it then didn't tell me what to do with the other half. I thought maybe they missed a step off the instructions or it was a typo so I ended up putting the rest directly into the demijohn. Later research shows that I should have wrapped the rest back up and sealed it for use in another brew. The packets are designed for 5 gallon brews not 1 gallon. I have over yeasted the brew which may have an impact or it may not, I'm getting mixed messages on forums about this. Guess I will find out in a few weeks.

Would definitely buy a stove topper again though, now I know what I'm doing a bit more.

THANKS FOR FEEDBACK MICHAEL, WE'LL REVIEW YOU COMMENTS AND AMEND THE INSTRUCTIONS ACCORDINGLY TO MAKE IT EASIER.
