    This is one serious beer
    Review by Graemeon 07/11/2015
This has got to be one of the best kit's I've brewed it makes a fabulous dark smokey beer which is well rounded and very easy to drink, perfect for Autumn evenings, how it compares to the original I'll never know but I'll definately be brewing this one again soon.

One of the best beers I've done yet
    Review by Malcolmon 17/01/2015
Really nice dark (well pretty black actually) beer, came out nice and smooth with dark roasty overtones but not over-powering. As I brew to a 27 litres capacity it came out slightly weaker than suggested on the pack but none-the-less I'd thoroughly recommend it as an AG recipe.

    Smokin' recipe!
    Review by Cselbyon 02/03/2014
The thing I love about homebrewing is that you can recreate rare / limited edition beers that you may never get the chance to try the originals of. That's the case here... I can't compare to the "genuine" St. Austell beer because it was only made for summer 2011 and I never tried it. But who cares, when this clone is so damn delicious?! Gorgeous jet black colour, roasty biscuity malt complemented by (not overpowered by) bonfire night toffee apple smokiness. Lush. I aged over toasted oak chips soaked in scotch and vanilla.

    Hmmm moorish.
    Review by Mechon 15/07/2012
A dark beer with an initial flavours of liquorice and chocolate and then that gorgeous after taste of smokeyness which as on the recipe page added the extra 5g of toasted oak chips which has enhanced this after-taste. I will be definitely be doing this kit again and its going into my favourites.
