A Classic tawny British Best Bitter with a fantastic biscuit malt body that leads to a robust and cleansing bitter finishes. Each Simply Beer Kit has been crafted with help and expertise of dedicated master brewers. Each Kit uses a blend of high quality malt extracts from numerous producers around the world, with the addition of genuine brewer's yeast used in each and every Simply Beer Kit. The Simply range uses the latest advances in technology and packaging. Each Simply pouch is 'cold filled' with liquid malt extract as opposed to the traditional 'hot filled' canning method, by doing so makes for a fresher tasting beer. By using a pouch enables us to use less packaging materials and helps reduce cost by up two thirds, allowing higher quality ingredients to be used. Requires 1kg of brewing sugar or beer enhancer. Requires standard basic brewing equipment (fermenter etc). Makes 40 pints. ABV: 4%

    What a beer!
    Review by Alanon 01/05/2017
I bought two of these packs when they were on offer and honestly expected an average brew. What a surprise. Everybody that has tried it has said the same, "You made this? It is better than the cask beer in the pub!"
Superb bitter, shame that it is out of stock at the moment. I can only hope that it has not 'died a death'.

    Surprising value for money
    Review by Jasonon 17/08/2015
This is ridiculously cheap and stupidly simple to brew. But what you get as a result is remarkable for the price and effort. I invited a few friends to try this after it had only be bottled for 5 days - and their reaction was that they found it very hard to believe this was home brew.

    Good for the price
    Review by Leojezon 17/05/2015
Thought I'd give this a go as read a lot about Simple Beer and sounded an interesting concept. You certainly can't complain about the price and the brewing instructions are simple and straight forward. To cut costs they don't include brewing sugar or beer enhancer, so make sure you get these. It was a decent pint but unfortunately I've been spoilt by the premium kits which, for me, end up being a better brew. But if you are looking for something cheap and cheerful, this is well worth a go.

    Good beer for money.
    Review by Baldygregon 20/06/2012
Recently brewed this using 650gms brewing sugar and 350gms extra hopped spraymalt. Primed with golden syrup and kegged. Very drinkable after just 3 weeks in the keg. Down to last few pints and stiill very good. Will definitely be trying some of the other beers in this range.
