Nelson Sauvin Vacuum Packed Leaf Hops 100g 2017
The essential oil profile displays “fresh crushed gooseberries” a descriptor often used for the grape variety Sauvignon Blanc, giving rise to this variety’s name. Nelson Sauvin has the unique ability to impart a distinctive cool climate white wine “fruitiness”. This truly unique dual-purpose variety can be used to produce big punchy Ales as well as subtle yet bitter Lagers. The fruitiness may be a little overpowering for the un-initiated, however those with a penchant for bold hop character will find several applications for this true brewer's hop. Characteristics: Gooseberry, Grapefruit Flavour Intensity: 9 Origin: NZ Crop: 2017 Alpha:12.8%

    A good classic for bittering

    Review by on

My main boil hop giving which used properly gives a good long-lasting bitterness in the mouth and throat. Used in most of my 60+ brews so far.
  2. 100%
    Fantastic hops, especially for dry-hopping

    Review by on

I really like Nelson Sauvin. Its flavour profile is fruity and unique, and will add aromas to your beer you won't find in any other hops. I used it to dry-hop a German Hefeweizen, which added a nice aroma of gooseberries to the beer. Rather hard to get, so buy it while it's available!
