Better than most pub draught beers
    Review by Russellon 31/05/2017
Like the previous reviewer. American IPA and Smugglers are my favourites. Tried others but keep coming back to these two. Better than most pub draught beers.

Bought this several times and never fails to deliver. This and Smugglers are my favourite beers.

    Better than the pub
    Review by Simonon 29/11/2016
I've done quite a few kits and this is by far and away the best. Friends say they prefer this to a pint in the pub and I promise they have not always been as complimentary about my home brew. Really really recommend this kit!

Super simple to make and tastes great
    Review by Fraseron 12/05/2016
This is the easiest kit I've made so far. it is also quick (though not quite as quick as the instructions imply).
It's a perfect beer for drinking lots of as it is quite light and not overpoweringly hoppy.
And it kept its fizz in the barrel (which is something I have had trouble with in the past

    Great taste slow to clear
    Review by Russellon 04/11/2015
I am a fan of Muntons Gold Range. The American IPA did take longer than Smugglers to clear despite using finings but I loved the taste - very fruity. Not to everyone's taste though as one visitor did not enjoy it. But do I care - more for me.

    Excellent taste, but cloudy
    Review by Deanon 24/09/2015
Usually I brew the Festival range of kits, but decided on a change. having tried the Muntons Smugglers Ale before. The kit arrived promptly and brewed without incident, however I did have to purchase the spraymalt which is not included in the kits, but is in the Festival. After a month in the bottle I tried the brew and the taste is really good. Definate fruity flavour. However it was still rather cloudy, though not much sediment in the bottle. After a further two weeks the beer is still cloudy no matter how carefully I pour out. So if you have a go at this kit it might be worth getting a filter bag (like the Festival kit). I will try the kit again because the taste is really good, but it will need a little fine tuning to make it perfect.

Quick delivery and easy to brew
    Review by davidon 15/07/2015
I took the opportunity of buying this kit while it was on special offer. The kit was promptly delivered and was easy to brew with all the necessary ingredients and easy to follow instructions.
The brew is now in a barrel and I am waiting for it to mature.

    Fantastic kit
    Review by shaneon 08/07/2015
I have to say this is possibly the best kit i've done. So much so that it didn't see out a fortnight once it was ready to drink (in fact i i couldn't leave it alone after my initial taste test after two weeks in the bottle). So good i reordered another kit and probably will do a number of times in the future. Quality!
