    Great Kit
    Review by Stephen on 13/11/2017
I'd rate this as probably the most pub-authentic home-brew I've made. I brewed it to 38 pints and added a Fuggles hop tea (25 grams). Then barrelled it and it tastes absolutely great after 2 weeks. Pours and tastes just like a really nice pint of bitter in the pub. I'd put it ahead of Wherry, but it's a similar brew.

    Definition of old
    Review by Christopher on 24/04/2017
I have it in a barrel. I meant to just taste it and leave it for 5 or 6 months. But afrter a few weeks it is wonderful. I don't know how the creators of this brew made it taste "old" in a nice tasty way, but they did. I just drink it, I don't create it as with my car I just drive it, I'm not into scientific car technology. My long term dream is one day to manage to save some of it to taste at 5 months. But I'm beset with people who must be creeping into my house and drinking my beer behind my back. That must be the answer to my beer disappearing prematurely. Or, some form of Beer Gremlin.

A good staple and a good one for experimenting with
    Review by Williamon 07/12/2016
This is a nice drink which gets much better the longer it's left. Priming with the recommended spray malt crates a lovely long lasting head and I have now adopted this for other brews with great results.

It's not a very complex taste which I think makes this a great one to experiment with in terms of malt and hop additions.

    Great bitter
    Review by Alhammeron 05/09/2011
This is the first Muntons kit I've tried. It was easy to make and tastes really good, in fact it's my favourite homebrew, even beating the Wherry. Beer is barrelled and going fast. Will soon be making another batch to bottle and store so it's got a chance to reach its peak.

Simple to make, great to drink
    Review by Jonny Zeroon 03/12/2010
This is my first homebrew beer and I am impressed. I decided to get a premium kit so that I knew if it turned out to be no good then other kits wouldn't be any better. Well that's my logic ...
It was simple to make. Fermented with no trouble. Bottled it, using the recommended spray malt instead of sugar, and left to clear in the garage. It's now about 6 weeks old and is tasting very good indeed. So good in fact that my wife almost likes it!

    Great tasting beer
Review by Kev The Revon 05/07/2010
Easy to brew, fantastic taste, and having bottled it a case cleared after fifteen days. Everybody who has tried it likes it, especially me, perhaps a bit too much! I very much doubt that I will be able to make it last the three to six months I have heard it takes to peak, it's just too tasty! Enjoy

    cracking wee bitter
    Review by Jockon 04/08/2009
This is an absolutely cracking wee bitter. Ferment it barrel it and forget about it for a few months.

The creamiest head and dark colour with a malty taste.
