Details:

At the turn of the century a beer was brewed especially for the dockyard workers of the bustling Port of London. Docklands Porter was named after these strong men, who unloaded the cargoes from sailing ships and schooners, berthed at the many wharves along the Thames.

Porter had a uniquely rich and satisfying flavour which quenched the thirst of dockers after long shifts loading and unloading vessels from around the world. You can now recapture the unique flavour of traditional Victorian Porters - a light hop character and full malt flavour underlie a rich colour, made possible by the subtle use of the best roasted malts.

No Additional sugar required.

Basic beer brewing equipment is required: Starter Equipment set and 25 litre fermentation bin and lid.

Barrel or Bottles, see Need to know - Barrel or Bottle for more information.

    Black as night
    Review by Matthewon 14/03/2017
Beautiful looking coming out of the fermenter. Gravity puts it at a very sociable 4.1%, and a sneaky taste before barrelling suggests it'll be quite light and smooth. Can't wait to sample after maturing!

One of the best Porters around
    Review by Mikeon 19/02/2013
If you are looking for an excellent winter brew to ‘keep the cold out’, then Munton’s Porter is the one for you! This is a true Porter and would recommend it to anyone who likes a dark full bodied beer that is slightly sweet. It is also a very easy beer kit to make and would suit the beginner to home brewing. It normally takes me no more than 30 minutes to make the brew and a similar time to bottle it, so not bad for 40 pints. The brew will be ready for drinking in about 2 weeks, but for a fuller bodied flavour then it’s well worth waiting at least 2 months.

I've made most of the Muntons premium range and they all take a while to clear but worth it when they do. This one just keeps on improving with age.
