    Great way to branch out
    Review by Robon 21/08/2015
This beer ferments like a rocket! A good one to do in summer as it likes higher fermentation temps and is ready quickly. Tastes very refreshing, a good session beer

    Not Great
    Review by Gunnerholicon 28/09/2013
Well I have made several Wheat beer kits over the years and this one has to be up there with the worst, well to be fair it's not horrible it just doesn't taste of, well anything! I substituted the kit yeast (which was an ale yeast) with a true wheat beer yeast (Munich to be exact) which tastes and smells as it should but there is no refreshing wheat flavour to back it up. Next up is the appearance, a true weizen should be cloudy and this is as clear as a pint of pilsner, hmm very odd. I believe that kit description of "Wheat Beer" is unfortunately not exactly what I would expect from such a drink. Below average.

I used this kit for my first brew and result was great. I replaced 1/4 of priming sugar by honey.

    Very Good Brew
    Review by BLAMONGEon 29/06/2013
I made this a while back, about a year ago,and although not impressed with it right away. I bottled after my usual 2 weeks, and after 2 months plus bottle conditioning it was very nice and the flavour improved vastly. I used just demerera sugar for this as I wanted to experiment a bit and add some warmth and richness to the brew, and this has worked out really well. I had the last bottle about a month ago at it was superb, but unfortunately, the last one... I have just recently made the coopers wheat beer to try and compare (using cherries and light brown sugar) and this has only been in the bottles a month or so, so I will write a review for that in good time.

    Not Overly Impressed
    Review by JDC56on 04/02/2013
After reading all the reviews decided to have a bash at home breing using this kit, I followed the instructions to the letter but used 500g brewing sugar and 500g spray malt light, I also added orange peel and coriander during fermentation.
The beer was bottled using sugar to prime the bottles and capped but the resulting beer is a rather weak flavour and carbonation is pretty poor.

    Super Brew
    Review by Ray Fon 29/11/2012
This is the first wheat beer I have made and I am very pleased with the outcome. I used a 1Kg mix of wheat spraymalt and brewing sugar in equal quantities and fermented with the yeast supplied with the kit. It has been in bottles for three weeks now and each one I open tastes better than the one before. I will be buying more and would have no hesitation in recommending this kit.

    Great Weiss Beer
    Review by Sparky Justinon 31/08/2009
A fantastic wheat beer. With this kit you need to add 1kg of Sugar. I actually add soft golden brown sugar and also 500g of wheat spray malts which really gave a depth to the favour. |I have also added other flavours such as cloves and Kaffir lime leaves for a more pronounced spice/citrus flavour which also works well.

I have also used this kit to produce a Raspberry belgian style fruit beer (for my other half!) I added 3 bags of frozen rasperries which I liquidised and seived to remove the seeds. I added this to the fermentaion barrel at the same time as the yeast.

Never brewed a wheat beer before but this ones certainly didn't disapoint. Lovely subtle aftertaste, very moorish.
