    under pitched
    Review by Richardon 01/09/2015
I tried to leave my brew to ferment out a little longer but it only managed a FG of 1.020 (1.032 after 6 days) from a SG of 1.045 which will give me a beer of around 3.28%abv which is a shame as I was really looking for much stronger wheat beer to counteract the raspberry flavouring which everyone seems to think tastes artificial - i hope not. I think the yeast is probably under pitched for the strength of the beer - possibly use two sachets next time. Anyway I am going to leave it to settle out for another day or so after adding the sachet and then I intend to bottle it and condition it in the beer fridge to see if it develops a flavour anything like the one I expect. So far I must say it looks pretty disappointing...

Only brewed this once, but highly recommend. Raspberry isn't over powering. Just right for the summer nights

    meh..
    Review by Jameson 03/09/2012
Tastes OK I guess, after a while its not too bad!

but really the sachet is just very artificial tasting! (using the sachet from on the rocks Rasp + lime) would prob make it a bit nicer though

Really id say go for either get the raspberry juice of this site and use that instead or just get the highly recommended Brewferm kit!

Tastes like a fake raspberr ice pop
    Review by Graemeon 18/08/2012
Agree with everything Soupy said. If it wasn't for the sachet, it make an okay beer.
I've had it in the bottle for almost a year now, with only and handful drunk.
    One to avoid, I think.

Very easy simple brewing and tasty too.
    Review by MichaelEvon 19/04/2012
Brewed this in a keg and it was done in two weeks ready to taste.
    Well im drinking it now.

Instructions on the percentage and use of raspberry essence not clear. I put it in at the start and it turned out fine.

Brewing thermometer beneficial but not nessesary.

    Overall very tasty.

    Massive disappointment
    Review by Soupyon 18/03/2012
I love all kinds of fruit beers, from artificial sugary stuff like Fruli to subtle berry-infused real ales to everything in between. So I figured however this Milestone kit ended up, it would have something to offer which I would appreciate.

Unfortunately no, it tastes like gone-off cough syrup. The problem is the raspberry additive - it's got this horrible, alkali soapy taste which ruins the entire beer. I brewed this for 2 weeks in the fermenter, added the flavour, let it settle, then kegged it for 3 weeks - so I'm sure it's not that it simply needs more ageing.

I've given it 2 stars because if you left out the raspberry sachet you'd at least have a fairly competent wheat beer to drink.
