    Enjoyable Christmas Ale
    Review by Sparkson 04/02/2017
This was a very enjoyable Christmas Ale i added a kilo of sugar and boosted the ABV to nesrly 6%. it took its time to age, but when it did it smelled and tasted lovely.

    Pretty good
    Review by Markon 01/02/2017
I got confused about the expected ABV, I thought it was 5.4% as on the image, but I think that might have been if you brew extremely short to 24 pints. I did a 21L brew and had a very low SG, so I added a kilo of sugar to boost the final ABV to about 5%.

The beer turned out not too bad at all. A very nice ruby colour and it cleared very quickly. I'm not so sure about the Christmas flavours though. Not to my taste, but definitely drinkable.

    Fantastic Ale
    Review by Jayon 22/10/2015
Trying to get my Christmas beverages together and this one finished clearing last week. I knew this was going to smell great when I started brewing it. Huge treacle notes on the nose along with complementary spices. Will definitely do this one again next year and I'm thinking of giving "Dasher the Flasher" a go. Very impressed with Milestone so far.

    So far so good
    Review by Majordisasteron 12/10/2015
Smells like a rich fruit pudding in the fermenter and already has a rich full taste. I'm going to give it two months in the barrel to bring it to full maturity before Christmas

    Wow! What a surprise
    Review by Markon 12/10/2015
Tried this kit for the first time and I have to admit it tastes fantastic. The colour is a gorgeous dark red and the taste is up there with shop bought. It's smooth with a lovely liquorice undertone. Took two weeks to ferment out and another two weeks in the barrel to condition. However, I would definitely leave my next brew to condition over a longer period as the taste does keep improving with time.

    Lovely Strong Ale
    Review by Martinon 29/09/2015
This took a whole fortnight to ferment and while drinkable after a couple of weeks it didn't get great until it had been in the bottle about three months. I have had the same problem with other Milestone kits where they are dull for months then after a year are fantastic! Anyway this is a full bodied tasty ale albeit not as dark as I was expecting. I recommend buying it in the January sales, brewing and bottling it early so it can be kept and enjoyed in winter!

what volume for the printed abv
    Review by gregon 13/10/2009
mmm just recieved the 2 milestone xmas kits today & was gonna do this one first cos it had 5.4% as abv. So does using 24 pts as the liquid brew it to 5.4% instead of the 4.5 then??
Can't wait to get it brewing am itching to get it on the go. See the new description is a darker chestnut colour as the box says blonde belgium style.
