    Great little filter
    Review by Gavinon 20/03/2018
Does what it says on the tin. Slightly annoying it doesn't come with the smaller micron filter screen but at least it can be ordered with a spare larger filter. As a test before use I made up a 100g hop slurry in 500ml boiled water. No hop content made it through the filter - just lovely green tinted hoppy water which was used to mix with sugar and prime a keykeg - great to allow highly hopped beers without all the bits or use for hard to properly sterilize muslin bags

    Great little filter
    Review by Richardon 22/02/2018
Have used this to filter both the wort and the beer. Very useful for getting out a little more of the finer particles but unfortunately you need to buy the additional filter pack to obtain the fine blue filter, would have been better to be able to choses which one you want as it makes it a lot more expensive.

    Useful depending on setup.
    Review by johnon 08/01/2018
    Used on two brews:
Once for transferring to bottle bucket with pump, no hop debris was trapped by standard filter mesh, but was fairly clear to start.
Second for filtering grain debris, pre sparge, inline with grainfather (i get a lot of debris in wort from grain basket) filter (with fine mesh sold seperate) placed between pump and basket, recirculation got a lot of debris out.
Standard mesh is too wide for most things, you need the seperate finer filter kit too.
Can be filled with hops when post ferment transfering to use as a randall, not tried yet.
Would not trust it with gravity only.

    Discoloured
    Review by Eggon 26/10/2017
Bought one of these as I have seen the recommended elsewhere. I have used the device a total of 3 times and cleaned with my usual cleaner PBW & sanitised afterwards with starsan. Both filtering jars have turned an opaque colour. While it is probably not going to affect the unit in what it does, it will mean I'll have low visability to what is happening.
