Little Bottler Complete

This connects on to a ferment bin with a tap, it allows easy filling of bottles with no mess. It also takes the stress and mess out of syphoning and you can bottle solo no need for an assistant bottler with this excellent gadget.

10 out of 10 for easy bottling!

EXPERT TIP: Ferment your beer in a standard bin then transfer it to a ferment bin with a tap - leaving all the sediment behind - then connect the little bottler to the tap and bottle away. Add your priming malt/sugar to the drum tap bin before you transfer your brew and you will not need to prime each bottle individually!

Got one of these a long time ago for bottling from my fermenter. Absolute time and brew saver and you can remove the spout and use the tap as normal

So much easier to bottle with this little beauty. A simple device but one that gives consistent bottling levels no matter which type you use.

    Review by Daveon 12/04/2016
A really useful piece of kit. If you prefer bottling to barrels as I do (more carbonation, keeps longer, can give a few bottles to friends/family), you should buy this. Less foaming, less mess, can't recommend this highly enough.

A really handy little piece of kit. Makes bottling much more pleasurable, and keeps foaming to a minimum. Great service from Brew UK too...

    Bottling made easy
    Review by Boomshakalakaon 18/01/2014
My local shop told me such a product didn't exist and sold me something else and said 'I'd need to make things fit'. Shame on them because this thing is great.

    Great
    Review by Mikeon 23/09/2013
Comes with own tap fitting, so simply replaced the existing tap on my bottling bucket with this, siphoned the brew in and away you go.
It used to take me AGES to bottle and I'd get in a right mess, now it's super easy. Fill my easy kegs with it too, no problems. If you bottle, buy it.

    Review by Markon 13/08/2013
This little bit of kit made the hole process if bottling easy. This was my first go at bottling my brew and I am glad I got this and for the price it was essential would recommend to any one bottling beer or wine. I would hate to think how long it would have taken and the mess I would have made without the little bottler, brilliant.

Great time saver - much easier than syphoning
    Review by JudeSunFloweron 29/05/2013
A simple and easy way to save time and mess. After many frustrating afternoons with a syphon this gadget was a revelation. No spills and a steady flow rate - actually saves time.
You might need to buy a tap but at £7.49 it is still worth it.

Makes bottling less of a chore
    Review by Thomason 12/04/2013
Once I transferred by brew to my second vessel with little bottler attached I added my priming dextrose washed the primary fermentation vessel sterilized it along with my bottles. Then I filled 12 X 500 ml bottles at a time, I placed the bottles in the primary vessel and filled 12 then capped them and repeated and in no time had 42 X 500 ml bottles. These are in temperature of 22 C for 7 days then a cooler temperature for a further 14 days. Happy days. No mess, no stress a very enjoyable experience.

    Makes bottling easier

Just finished bottling my second brew.
Used this on a second vessel and put my priming sugar in first. It was so much easier and less messy than my first attempt.

    Incredible!
    Review by Johnon 04/03/2013
This is probably the one single item I'm most glad I bought. I bought it with a pre-drilled bucket from brewuk, and I use it as the tip suggests: syphon the brew from my main fermenter into the smaller bucket, add priming sugar and leave to settle. Then I can fill bottles, leaving any residue behind. Can get hard to get the last few bottles' worth out, but I can live with that. So much less messy than trying to syphon into bottles.

Probably works great, if you can get it to fit you tap or barrel
    Review by Kiffbereton 27/01/2013
This may be my fault, but the little bottler doesn't fit to the tap on my barrel. The attachment simply isn't the right side. Fortunately the bottler comes with its own tap which fits perfectly. Unfortunately, my barrel (from Wilcos), has a narrow lid so there's no way of getting your hand into the barrel to fit the new tap.
So unless the bottler fits to your existing tap or you can instal the new tap, then this bottler is useless.
Granted, had I bought my barrel from BrewUk I may not have had this problem.

    This is indeed great
    Review by Speccyon 09/11/2012
I'm another one who's fitted a Little Bottler tap to my barrel, so I can prime the whole batch in the barrel and then make a call on how much to leave there and how much to bottle. It's ace, filling the bottles swiftly with zero mess and without mixing air with the beer. Just remember to leave the cap off the barrel while bottling or you'll get air bubbles going back up through the tap. Oops.

    Well worth it
    Review by tomparkeson 24/09/2012
Recommended to me on the forum here - this is definitely worth owning. I've not attempted bottling without it, so don't have anything to compare it to, but it certainly made the job simple. I can't imagine the faff of trying to use a siphon to do this - sounds very tedious and potentially quite messy. I highly recommend this very useful tool. I just replaced the tap on my barrel with the one that comes with this and can then add and remove the little bottler attachment as and when I need it.

    So good I bought two!
    Review by Roberton 24/09/2012
Very easy to use and makes for hassle-free bottling. Can't imagine attempting to bottle 40 pints without it.
I simply replaced the tap on my barrel with the one that comes with the bottler. I use the barrel to batch prime, bottle off whatever I want and keep the rest in the barrel. Well worth £7.49 - it'll change your life!
I've since bought another barrel and another little bottler to go with it.

    essential
    Review by Iainon 04/09/2012
Makes the job so easy, kids can use it. And thats exactly what I had mine doing when it came to bottling time (leaving me free to cork)!! ?So easy to use and saves on mess by syphoning accidents. An essential bit of kit, but you must have the right pre-drilled hole in your bucket. I have a (pre-drilled) 'bottling bucket' that i use to accept the wine that has been run through a vin-brite mk3 filter, with the little bottler system attatched to it.

    Review by Timothyon 31/07/2012
I added this tap to http://www.brewuk.co.uk/store/25-litre-fermentation-vessel-fitted-with-drum-tap.html so when I rack and want to prime its a smooth operation. I normally use kegs but like to bottle a few bottles for family members to sample.

Dripped a little, use a 25-26mm drill bit
    Review by Joshon 18/07/2012
I won't bother repeating the praise of the other reviews I'll just add a couple of points:
On my first use I did find the bottler dripped a little. You can wiggle the T-valve to try and stop it but despite being a lot better than a syphon, you'll probably still want to set this up somewhere 'spill-safe'. I also found the seal of the tap itself dripped until I'd drained some beer, but I'll willing to assume this was because I didn't tighten it enough.
Before you attach the bottler it's worth trying to tip the air-pocket out of the tap: There's a bit of space above the flow of beer and I found this introduced a few small bubbles throughout my bottling.
Finally if you want to drill a bucket for this you'll want a 25-26mm drill bit. (I used 25mm and have to 'screw' the tap in, forming a nice and tight seal).

    Simple but effective :)
    Review by Mechon 13/03/2012
This is so simple to use,
    1) Prime your keg or secondary FV with correct amount of priming sugar.
    2) Syphon your primary into your secondary, thoroughly mixing.
    3) Attach Littler bottler to your secondary tap and away you go.

It also gives the correct amount of headspace required within the bottles.

    Brilliant piece of kit
    Review by offerDaveCon 29/01/2012
I used to use just tubing and had to constantly turn the tap on and off.
This kit has made it really simple. Just offer the bottle up over the stick and push.
Fill the bottle up to the brim and when removed you get the perfect head space.
    You must get one.

The best invention since ground malt
    Review by Vladon 10/10/2011
I cannot imagine bottling with a syphon since I got this little helper. Makes bottling an easy job. It comes with a tap that is easy to install by drilling a 25mm hole in your bucket. If you already have a tap on your bottling bucket, you may fit the nozzle right onto it.

    Review by erotemeon 27/04/2011

    Excellent!
    Review by Alanaon 22/04/2011
This is an absolutely brilliant piece of kit - BUT, just a word of warning, don't replace the tap on your fermenter with this tap, as it leaks! I lost the best part of a gallon before I realised.

I now have a separate bottling bucket with this fitted which works fine, and non-leaking tap on my fermenter. You need to siphon the beer into the bucket and then bottle it from there, but it's good as you can batch prime it and bottling is a dream.

    Literally couldn't be easier
    Review by GeorgeKon 14/11/2010
Having almost given up on bottling altogether after a disastrous attempt with a siphon tube and a funnel, I decided to buy a bottling bucket (fermentation bucket with a tap) and one of these.

Bottled 40 pints of cider today with no spillages, no hassle - no problems at all.

I really couldn't recommend this highly enough!

    Great little tool
    Review by Neeshamon 24/08/2010
Works brilliant for bottling. You have to take into consideration when you lift it out of the bottle the amount of liquid is less so you have to compensate and fill up to the top (from my experience)

    Great investment
    Review by Davidon 27/01/2010
I had planned on my first bottling exercise being a frustrating event, having ordered a new tap for my fermenting barrel.
When I went to collect it from the shop I was asked what I was planning on doing, I explained and this great little device was introduced to me. Fantastic.

I wasted hardly a drop of beer through the bottling and absolutely not sediment was disturbed. More luck as to where I fitted the tap than science.

The trickiest part of the whole process was priming the bottles, if I'm to continue bottling I'll buy another fermentation bucket and syphon into this one, then add the sugar and bottle.

    Making your life easy!
    Review by simonpon 11/08/2009
Quite simply this makes bottling so much easier it is not true.
Bottling was pretty much a 2 person job before for me, one to watch the level and one to turn off the fiddly tap. Easy 1 person job with this.

Just offer the bottle up over the wand until the pin gets pressed against the bottom of the bottle, and the flow starts. You can stop filling immediately you get to the required level by releasing the pressure of the bottom of the bottle from the valve.
It makes a strange noise whilst filling the bottle, but you get used to it.

I did find mine had a tendency to drip a bit from the end initially, but after flicking the valve a few times it all but stopped.
I also fund getting the main tap to completely seal on the bin took a few tries. In the end I cleaned up some of the plastic flashing around the seal face and this cured it.

If you bottle most of your brews then I would say this would go on your essential list.
