    Conflicting instuctions
    Review by timon 11/09/2013
Being a complete novice didn't help but nowhere does it mention adding the sugar and nor how much should be added of the one kg bag supplied to had to do a bit if searching in the reviews and on coopers website. Other than that was a simple process. Still waiting to ferment fully. Instructions on the hygrometer were a bit vagueness as well. Also, there seems to be a lot of disagreement on the net about correct brewing temperatures.

    A great piece of kit!
    Review by Stephenon 21/12/2012
I have long thought about brewing my own beer at home. I searched the internet and was surprised at the variety of different kits.

I noticed that this kit did not have an airlock facility. However after researching on the many homebrew forums, I realised that an airlock facility is not neccessarily needed for brewing beer.

I very happy with my kit. It contains everything needed to make homebrew beer and wine. The only thing that I feel should have been included in the kit, was one of those stick on thermometers. When I brewed my first batch I had no real idea what the temperature was when I pitched my yeast.

All in all, the price is very cheap, you have a wide selection of beer kits to choose from for your first brew and the equipment that makes up the kit is of a decent standard.

    Buy it!

    First time brewer pleased
    Review by Gileson 15/08/2012
I'm usually not great with instructions/ manuals but found more than enough info that was fairly simple to understand. I didn't choose to buy the bottles, instead i reused empties form the local. Easy enough to do if you ask nicely. Bottle caps are very cheap (works out at about 2p each) and i picked up a gadget for £10 to put them on with. you'll also need to buy a bottle brush, but again these are inexpensive, i think mine was about £3 . The Beer hasn't given me any problems through out the first part of brewing. Everything is going to plan. Its bottled up now, so i'm looking forward to about 3 weeks time when it'll be ready. Will have enough beer to last me a while so i think i'm gonna do some wine next before my next beer brew. At this rate i'll never need to get booze from the super market ever again. Nice drink, a hobby and saving money, why haven't i done this before?

    so easy
    Review by skid markon 23/01/2010
I was new to all this 4 weeks ago, all the gear you need to get you on the way. I did the mexican cervaza and it turned out that well i bought another fermenting bin. i recommend swing top bottles just because they look better, 500ml plastic coke bottles are just as good.

  • I can't believe how good it tasted
    Review by Jonno on 25/03/2009
I'm new to all this and was a bit worried it would be a waste of money but my kit turned up a few weeks ago, excellent service by the way Brew, I can't believe it's so easy to make Lager.I bought the coopers australian kit and It tastes wicked. It's like carlsberg and fosters but better. I'm amazed it's turned out so well. The hardest part was waiting to drink it. I gave some to the lads when they came round and they didn't even know it was homebrew. I've just ordered a mexican cerveza and I can't wait to taste that. I'm never buying supermarket beer again.
