This is a first class product, excellent at bottling time but superb if left for a couple of months. Highly recommended.

An excellent wine...but give it time to age!
    Review by Peteon 04/11/2014
This wine was ok upon bottling but after 6 months it is an exceptional wine for the price. I would not be dissappointed paying £8 from a supermarket. Fingers crossed I can save some for the 12 month point.

    As expected
    Review by Chris 'Reigate'on 19/11/2013
One of the best red wines I have made (I have tried most over past 5 years) I wish I could be patient enough to keep for 6 months as other customers have done. However it is very palatable on first bottling, I have a few bottles aged 3 weeks My friends all agree it is exceptional quality. The Merlot in this range is just as good.
It is well worth paying the extra for a good quality wine. I will not waste my time and money on most of the cheaper wines.

    Patience
    Review by furkson 06/06/2013
I thought I would leave it a year before giving a full report into how this wine developed. Due to the fact I was going to age it over 6 months I added a 10% solution of potassium metabisulphate to stop the wine oxidizing. Firstly I was quite surprised how good it was at bottling but please be patient and leave for a few months.
At the 3 month mark the wine had changed completely and was much smoother with a longer finish. Initially you can tell you are drinking a kit wine.
At the 6 month point the wine started to show its true potential and was now at the point were I would actually take it to someone's house.
Now at the 12 month mark this is a wine you can be proud of. Full body, long finish and the regret that I've only 2 bottles left.
So just to round up: Brew, bottle and leave it alone for 6 months at least.

    Superb!

I originally tried the California Connosseur version, which definitely needed time to mature. This Kenridge version costs more but is ready to drink straight away.
