The HopRocket™ is an incredibly innovative, feature packed hop infusing tool! Not only can it be used as a hopback, it doubles as an in-line hop infuser (Randalizer) for your beer dispensing system and TRIPLES as an in-line filter*! Definitely cool, and clearly Blichmann - let the HopRocket™ put your hop aroma into orbit!! Unlike competitive units made from simple kitchen-ware fitted with a basic false bottom, the HopRocket has been designed from the ground up as a purpose-built, heavy duty, hopback and hop infuser. This clean sheet approach means truly superior performance and features: * Pressure tight - up to 40 PSI operation! * Holds up to 3oz of whole hops as a hopback and 4oz as an infuser - 2X the competition! * 100% stainless construction & silicone seals * No need to monitor wort level - will never overflow and spill like competitive units! * Fully enclosed system from brew pot to fermentor means no volitile hop aromas are lost! * Inlet at the bottom allows air to automatically purge to reduce hot-side aeration * Fine filter with wiper seal sends very clear wort to your fermentor. * Coarse filter and cone bottom inlet prevents wort channeling and backup for even hop utilization * Works on gravity systems and with pumps (about 4ft (1M) of static head is recommended for best gravity performance) * Doubles as an awesome hop infuser (Randalizer) for your dispensing system * 1/2" NPT connections are easy to adapt to - a perfect match for our popular QuickConnector fittings (1/2", 3/8" barb and 1/4" flare) * The HopRocket™ can be utilized as a general strainer/filter but it is NOT intended to filter all the sediment and particles of your brew pot while using at a hopback. The large quantities of pellet hops, trub and other debris will plug and compact the hop bed stopping flow. The installation of a prefilter in your pot is recommended to prevent excessive quantities of material from entering the hopback. As such, recirculation whirlpool immersion chilling systems should not be utilized with the HopRocket™. Northern Brewer have given us permission to use their video content to demonstrate the products.

Hop Rocket - usage so far
    Review by Robon 26/04/2017
First time usage is looking good so far.Made a London Pride type beer and once the wort had cooled to about 23 deg C, transferred the wort through the hop rocket and then fermented as per usual. The end result had the aroma and hoppy taste - getting closer to a real ale. Suspect the fermentation needs to be at a lower temperature to ensure the aroma doesn't evaporate off.

Delivers what it say it does.
    Review by Niallon 11/01/2017
I love this product, used it over 10 times now and each time it delivers the hop aroma I wanted. Great product, it a solid piece of kit and I would tell anyone looking for good hoppy beer to buy this piece of kit

A truly multipurpose piece of kit
    Review by Danon 19/09/2016
I have had my Hop Rocket for many years and mainly used it for a hop back but when I moved to my 100 litre kit it was a little too small for that. It started to gather dust for a little bit until I decided to try and use it as an inline infuser on my home bar. If like me you’re a hop head then this is going to blow your mind if used as a inline infuser. The first few pints that come out are so hoppy that I swear my mouth goes numb, numb in a good way and the aroma is more raw hop aroma, after that you just get the most intense IPA aroma you can imagine.

It can also be used in the same way as a torpedo by connecting a pump to the out on your fermenter and pumping your fermented beer through it and then back into the fermenter over a period of a couple of days. Works best with a closed system.

Don’t forget to always purge it with CO2 if using it on your finished beer.

It can now also be used as a RIMS which is another massive bonus.

Well built unit that works well with the Grainfather
    Review by Garyon 17/01/2016
I brew exclusively with the Grainfather and bought a HopRocket in the hope that it would integrate and that the Grainfather pump and chiller would cope with the extra load. I needn't have worried, the Grainfather pumped the hot wort though the HopRocket with no perceptible impact on flow from the chiller - even with the maximum load of hops. The finished wort smelled super hoppy but I'll have to wait for the finished beer to be able to assess the full impact of the HopRocket. Overall it's a beautifully made piece of kit and I'd recommend it without hesitation.

excellent - but could do with a bigger capacity version
    Review by helmbaron 22/09/2015
Excellent equipment for restoring the hop aromas you used to get from flame-out additions when using an in-situ cooling coil, if like me you have moved on to a plate chiller.

The only problem is that I could do with one twice the size, at least. Perfect for up to 50 l batches I would say.

Must have for lovers of brewing hoppy beers
    Review by Vblokeon 18/07/2012
I wanted to get more hop aroma into my homebrew and a hopback type device is the way forward. The hop rocket does the trick nicely. I bought this in conjunction with a plate chiller. Once the boil is done I drain the wort from copper -> pump -> hoprocket -> plate chiller -> fermenting vessel. Theres absolutely no escape for those naughty volatile hop oils... Beauty. My only regret is not buying one before I brewed my brewuk Proper Job clone competition ale.
