aroma profile: Floral, Spicy, Fruity, Pine Green Bullet is a triploid alpha variety bred by open cross pollination of the New Zealand "Smoothcone" variety. Used extensively as a utility brew house workhorse and found in breweries across the world. This “go to” hop is a traditional bittering type that now finds applications throughout the brewery from late additions through the hop back/ whirlpool and dry hopping. Aroma: Specific aroma descriptors include spicy, dried fruit characters; high levels of floral oil that complements and balances the piney resinous hop character. Although a new variety in relative terms, Green Bullet delivers a very real, traditional bittering quality and hop flavour. A flagship within the New Zealand brewing industry this hop has contributed to several International Brewing Industry Awards. Considered a bittering variety typically for Lager, Green Bullet also carries a solid Styrian characteristic of subtle spiciness which finds it at home in a freshly drawn pint of Bitter or an Irish-style Dry Stout. 1. 100%
    superb bittering hop

    Review by on

.....when I say this, you had better tread carefully. It's powerful yet NOT offputting and quite unique I think, but be sparing in the boil and make up for it @ switch-off. I did a Single Hop brew- and I loved it. If you wish for a gentler hop presence try using a combo with Motueka and Nelson Sauvignon- just like the Marble Brewery in Manchester.

    Fantastic bittering hop!

    Review by on

Bought this as it was on offer and made for a cheap bittering hop. As I had not seen it mentioned in any recipes, I was a bit concerned that it may give off flavours, but that was unfounded. The bitter I made (Brakspear) turned out brilliantly, no off flavours and VERY economic in use. Recommend that you give it a try for yourself.
