Graincoat. A Great product that that compliments the Grainfather.
    Review by Timothyon 03/08/2018
Before I purchased the Graincoat, I was using a homemade insulation jacket made out of radiator heat deflection foil which was somewhat fiddly to fit around the Grainfather. It served its purpose for a few months, but the removing to clean the Grainfather was tedious, so I decided to buy the Graincoat and the process of fitting and removal is a lot simpler. It also gives a more efficient use of electricity by reducing the number of heating cycle's to maintain the temperature of the wort during mashing and boiling. So overall it's a item that completes my brewing requirements especially when brewing outdoors in cooler climates. Well worth the money in my opinion.

What a great addition, not only does it insulate thus saving time and money it also prevents dings when moving it around.
I would recommend this to anybody that loves their Grainfather I love it.

    Nicely fitted bit of kit
    Review by Billon 24/04/2017
I just bought a new grainfather and thought that I might as well go the whole hog and buy a graincoat for it at the same time. Probably a bit of an indulgence but I figured it must help in keeping the heat in and reaching temperature faster, plus I figured it might prevent me burning myself on it and also protect the grainfather from scratches.

The build quality of it seems very good, fits like a glove with just a simple Velcro fastening along the long edge so it took about 20 seconds to fit. Never used my grainfather without it so I can't say how effective it is at keeping the heat in but it certainly stops you burning yourself and protects the unit from scrapes and scratches.

I am new to all grain and decided to splash out on this. It's great and good value for money.
If you have the cash then I would recommend this to anyone.

    Pleased I bought it.
    Review by Jameson 02/11/2016
This is a good fit and should enable a more constant temperature in the grainfather and therefore slightly more economical to use. Look like it will be durable and it has the added advantage of keeping ingredients off the body of the grainfather and helps protect it from any accidental blows.

    Moooooar Graingucci!!
    Review by Matton 12/10/2016
A well made, practical and sensible addition to the Grainfather. This Coat for the GF fits tremendously and has a good effect on Thermal retention & must have some effect on saving energy throughout your Brew.
I am impressed at how good it looks and how well it works, it was easy to fit and does not flap about with a nice snug fit, It is well made with the intention to last. Also it will not Stick to your GF like some other 'options' so is a 10/10 for me!

    Excellent product
    Review by Deanon 01/04/2016
I live in Northern Ireland and brew in my garage so temperature variation is a big concern. When I ordered the grainfather I added the graincoat and I am so glad I did! It's an excellent product, very well made and helps the grainfather maintain a consistent temperature throughout the mashing stage(s). I have completed 2 brews throughout March 16 successfully and am delighted with this product.

    Excellent solution
    Review by Rogeron 25/03/2016
This has definitely helped when brewing in my garage/brewery when the ambient temperature was around 6C. I haven't yet brewed in the summer with the Grainfather so will consider whether or not I use it during the warmer months. (I'm talking UK temperatures here!). Cosy fit, well made.

    Great addition
    Review by Daveon 21/03/2016
This is a great product for any Grainfather owners who do their brewing out of doors as I now do. Previously my Mash temperature was bouncing around a bit, but since fitting the Graincoat it is vastly improved. The only reason I gave it 4 points instead of 5 is that it is an extremely tight fit. I only managed to get the the velcro on mine to half overlap. That said it has not come adrift at all in use. You could make your own but I bet it wouldn't look nearly as smart.

    Nice solution
    Review by Rogeron 08/03/2016
Only done one brew so far with my new Grainfather and used this at the same time. With the temperature at 5C in the brewing garage I'm sure it must have helped in keeping the mash temp just right. Will probably help in the summer when the ambient temperature will be so much higher in summer.

    Graincoat
    Review by Mechon 13/12/2015
An ideal solution to add a bit of insulation to those cold outside brewdays, its a great tight fit and beats the tacky foil bubble wrap that hides those spills that can make a complete mess of all those shiny surfaces. A nice added benefit its machine washable. Recommended.
