    Brilliant session ale
    Review by Matton 19/02/2013
Made this up with 500g medium DME and 500g Munton's enhancer, then split the batch into ten bottles and kegged the rest (conditioned with enhancer). The kegged stock is pretty good but I have to say that the bottles came out amazing, they've got a good malty kick and a smooth head that make them worth the few months it took for them to really come into their own. This one had a very low SG, so if you're looking for a Heavy I'd look elsewhere! At 3.4% though, this is a cracking session. I'd make this again easily, but I'd bottle the whole batch and maybe increase the amount of extract in the brew. Also, this came out ridonkulously cheap, which is always a bonus!

    Tasty beer if done right!
    Review by Hammy1801on 05/12/2012
I have done this beer on a number of occasions as its one of my favourites.
Cheap, easy to brew and endless scope for modifications.
Word of warning though, do not use 1kg table sugar, spend a bit more and use 1kg of brewing sugar, beer kit enhancer or DME. The results are greatly improved.

    Good
    Review by Andrewon 01/08/2010
I would pay for this in the shop. Doesn't really taste like a scottish ale but i would compare it too something like a more malty abbot ale.
Excellent head and lacing, good taste!
I brewed this using 2 tins for 22litres and fermented it with safale 04 yeast just below 18C
    I would reccommend this product.
    For about 50p a pint...
    AWSOME
