Hi everyone,
I am a new member on here,my name is Daryl I retired a few years back and now have time to do the things I half did while working,including wine making,I have been successfull in the past with Blackberry Wine,Elderflower,a few kits but like picking and making wine from the country side of Essex.
I hope to increase my know how by asking questions on this forum,and getting to know a few of you.

welcome to the forum.

a great hobby and a nice way to store the harvested fruits :)

If you want to use the blackberries most efficient:
wash them,
press them, (keep the skin and seeds)
boil the juice to sterilize
let the sterile juice set over night to separate the juice from the heavier parts
siphon the juice off for fermentation
use the heavy part to make a very tasty jam (most of it would sink to the bottom of your fermenter and thrown away later)
boil the skin and seed mixture with some apple juice (and sugar) to make your very own and much tastier blackberry cider :)

one fruit used to get 3 great products :)
