    very easy, very pleased
    Review by JIM Con 14/12/2015
I ordered this for my first all grain brew - I had been doing extract brews in a 15l tin on a ceramic hob. Which was slow to boil. Then bam! the electrim boils a wort in about 30 mins, be careful as can boil over. Mark on the dial where it holds the temp at 70'c full steeping.

Cleaning the elements was tricky, as it gets coated by sugars, etc - a brush and hot soapy water should do the job.

In conclusion, its speeded up my brewing time, and creates less mess. Result!

Bought as a present for my brother
    Review by Michaelon 12/08/2015
Bought the Electrim Boiler as a present for my brother. Was shocked when I received it as I have 2 boilers and they have shortened it and made it wider Now. Makes me want to trade my old ones in.

    Ideal Mash Tun
    Review by Old Elveron 29/01/2013
I purchased this for use as a Mash Tun only as I have a different boiler.
I insulated it using isulation matting and aluminium tape.
I suspend a mashing bag in the Electrim. Add about 18l water and bring to strike heat. Then add the grain.
Occasional bursts of heat for bringing it up to mash heat is easy to achieve with the thermostatic controlled heating element.
Bottom tap allows easy collection/management of sparged wort into the boiler.

    Cheap but does the job
    Review by mobyon 29/08/2012
I have used mine for both sparging and boiling wort. The element is very easy to dismantle and clean, and if this is done after every brew it works fine. It may take a bit longer to reach the boil but like every thing, you get what you pay for and I have found mine value for money.

    Poor quality, dissappointed
    Review by Peteon 16/04/2012
I only use this to heat water for sparging and in 3 uses the heating element is totally oxidised and makes the water unusable. The water is soft and all my other kettles are fine, some in use for over 5 years. Just poor quality product.
