Sparkling Elderflower Wine Starter Kit * 1 x 25 Litre ferment bin and lid (Drilled) * 1 x Grommet * 16 x Clear 1 Litre PET Bottles * 1 x Simple Syphon * 1 x 100g tub of Steriliser * 1 x Lalvin Yeast * 1 x Handy Airlock * 1 x Muslin Bag * 1 x Long Plastic Spoon * 2 x 50g dried Elderflowers * 1 x recipe All that is required is Sugar and lemons. Supplied with reusable PET bottles to minimise the risk of explosion. Our recipe can be found in the recipe section and we make it every year, in our opinion it tastes like Smirnoff Ice. It is absolutely delicious! The recipe supplied in the kit is for fresh Elderflowers however the conversion for using dried Elderflowers is 25g for every 4.5 litres, this can also be found in the recipe section of the website. The equipment can be re-used to produce 40 pints of beer or 30 bottles of wine, all you will need to buy is the wine/beer kit of your choice. A fantastic price for such a versatile starter set!

    Elderflower wine
    Review by Michaelon 01/11/2013
Only just bottled but a pleasant taste, my only moan would be there is no fiz I was looking foward to a sparkling wine but for one reason or another the wine is still not a hint of a sparkle, I followd the instructions to the letter but I noticed that the wine had stopped working when I went to bottle it, I fermented the wine in the bottow of the airing cubbard so it was'nt to cold to kill the yeast.

    Blooming brilliant!
    Review by MrsCabrioon 24/06/2013
Having made nettle wine last year, i wanted to try elderflower. The kit is very good, although the syphin tube could do with a clip for the side of the bucket so you dont have to be either an octopus or bribe someone to sit and hold it for you while you bottle up. Nice and easy, and the results with dried elderflowers was amazing! I left mine in the bucket linger than stated, so there is less fizz, and less to worry about exploding bottles. I am now drinking it, and it is wonderful! Very chilled and perfect, and am now going to mix up the next batch!

Product arrived 4 days after order was placed so was really pleased. Recipe was easy to follow and the result is now in its bucket bubbling away. Looking forward to tasting the finished product.

    Very Good So Far!
    Review by Nitram Draddogon 13/06/2012
I have no home brewing experience and am a total greenhorn so please consider my review in that light.

The kit arrived yesterday and everything seems of very good quality. However, I have two small quibbles:

A "grommet" was in the kit but no instructions as to how to use it!
The sachet of sterilising powder was for a 4.5 litre container whereas you supplied a 30 litre one!

I have already set my first 16 litre batch of potential Elderflower Champagne fermenting so we'll see how successful I am in a couple of weeks.

lovely fresh taste with quite a kick
Review by medicine is goodon 21/10/2010
this was my first attempt at a champagne, although i must admit i aded 3kg of sugar instead of 2 which brought the abv up a little (naughty i no but nice) this stuff went down a treat with all the family and was ready to drink after 15 days with suprisingly real zip and fizz to it. Left aunty mable a bit giddy tho.
well worth the money, great kit that can be reused.
