No comparison with any other Capper....THIS IS THE BEST....If you haven't got one do yourself a favour & buy one & bin any other form of capping system you have.

    Best investment
    Review by Jonathanon 24/11/2016
Having got my in laws to buy me one of these for Xmas last year, I just wish I would have got one sooner. I can cap 40 bottles in 8 minutes (I’ve timed it!). It was taking me over an hour of messing about with my first (lower budget capper). Definitely recommend.

    Worked great
    Review by Lindenon 05/11/2016
I received this in a large box with no instructions. It should be obvious, of course, but I had a quick search for videos showing the capper in action; this confirmed the height at which the device needs to be set above the bottle and that the cap is held in place by a magnet rather than placed on the bottle. Anyway, once I'd looked at the bleeding obvious I got a bottle, stuck a cap in the machine, levered the capper down - and hey presto, the bottle was properly sealed up.

    Perfect Capper
    Review by Geoffon 26/09/2016
Easy and quick to use. Easy and quick to adjust when you get a different height of bottle.
Money well spent if you want reliable and fast capping.

    Easy capping
    Review by Markon 01/09/2016
If you are reading these reviews wondering if Counter Top Cappers are worth the extra money; trust me, they are. This is so much quicker and safer than my old twin handle capper. No sheared glass necks, no fiddling about trying to get a seal. 44 bottles capped in a jiffy with no swearing!

    Fast to cap
    Review by Damian/Brannbrew on 03/07/2016
Although it appears expensive compared to the handle style campers, the time it saves you when capping is worth while alone. Its also really good that it can cap any type of bottle neck including the hobgoblin ones which the hand held ones either struggle or you end up doing damage to the capper. Although with small batches it won't get utilitised to the degree of bottling 40+ bottles its still a weapon homebrewers should have in their arsenal.

    Fantastic!
    Review by Grahamon 06/06/2016
I was given this as a present, after complaining constantly about the two handled lever capper that I had - which I even managed to cut the top off a bottle with! This table top capper is such an improvement and a joy to use that I wish I had bought it first and not been put off by the price. I haven't had it or used it for long, so haven't had an issue with it yet like some others have mentioned. Just buy it!

    Poor construction
    Review by ASDon 30/05/2014
This looks the part, feels good and heavy, works fantastically at first but then lets you down.

On around my fifth batch the spring loaded part of the capper separated so it is now unusable. The problem is that the actual cap former is press fitted into a plastic mechanism containing two springs. One returns the handle and the second should eject the bottle from the former.

On my capper this press fit became lose such that the mechanism constantly falls apart. The inside of the metal portion is totally smooth so there in no friction to hold it together.

I plan to rough up the edges, use an epoxy glue at assembly and then drill and pin the inner part. This should all be unnecessary on a capper that cost £30.

An extra £1 spent in the design of the head so it was bolted or at least glued to a roughened surface would make this a great tool.

Good quality - needs a 29mm crimper though
    Review by graysboon 23/04/2014
Great quality, sturdy, adjustable and does the job well.
As mentioned by others it can be reluctant to let go of the bottles once they are capped.
However doesn't come with a 29mm cap adapter for 'fizzy wine' bottles so you need to order that separately.

    Excellent value for money
    Review by Olion 03/04/2014
This capper is really quick and efficient and I am delighted for the price.
It is a little clunky, the bottles get a bit stuck and you have to slightly wrestle them out at times but it is still very easy and quick to use. I am doing a bottle every 10 seconds comfortably. I wouldn't be surprised if it doesn't last a hundred years but for the price it is good quality.

    Bottling Revolution
    Review by banksyon 30/10/2013
Totally transforms the bottling experience.... height adjustable so will fit virtually any bottle you can find... also makes capping bottles with 'odd' shaped necks like hobgoblin a breeze.

There is the option to fix this permanently in place as the base has screw holes if you have a permanent bottling station, unfortunately I do not, so I use this on my kitchen worktop with a small towel placed underneath to stop it sliding too much.

Speeds up bottling so much it's untrue, and makes for a good, consistent capping.

Why have I waited so long to get one of these babies?!?
    Review by Punt1971on 13/08/2013
Soooo much easier and faster than the two handed jobbie I used previously.

Once I've filled my bottles I can cap around 35 in less than five minutes. So easy! I actually look forward to capping now :)

I would like to remove the magnet from the capper as I like to place the cap on the bottle and the magnet sometimes lifts it off.

    Excellent - flexible and durable
    Review by JudeSunFloweron 29/05/2013
I bought this so I could use regular and Cava bottles. It works a treat (provided you have the right fitting) with both and means I can reuse old Cava bottles for beer... Saved the extra money I spent already.

It is easy to use. Buy it.

    Counter Top Capper
    Review by Thomason 12/04/2013
Hi bought along with Young's Micro Brewery with Woodfordes Wherry Bitter, 25 litre Fermentation Vessel, Little Bottler Complete, Crown Caps (100's),Young's Beer Finings. My bitter was ready in 5 days I added finings and after 2 days transferred to my 25 litre vessel which I fitted with the tap that came with the little bottler.Added my dextrose priming sugar and bottled 42 X 500 ml bottles which are in a 22 C cupboard for secondary fermentation. My second brew is a Festival Old Suffolk Strong Ale primary fermentation is on day 5 dry hops have been added and in 5 more days will be syphoned into the pressure barrel. The capper was a joy to use I just stood it on a wooden table no problems capping.

    Good Product
    Review by Furry Toeson 08/01/2013
Used the capper the other week to bottle a batch of London Porter (lovely dark beer). The bottling process is much quicker and easier than using the two handed Youngs Bottle Capper.

I would have given it a 5 but the little magnet that suspends the crown caps came off after bottling 50 bottles, however this doesn't affect the bottling process as the caps can be balanced on top of the bottles before capping.

Next stage gluing the magnet back...

    A worthwhile purchase
    Review by FOPAon 30/10/2012
I thought it worthwhile spending a little extra and getting a one-handed capper. I'm pleased I did. This works well, although it can be a little reluctant to let go of the bottles once they are capped. A gentle wiggle gets them free, but there is a bit of a bang, which makes you jump the first time!

    Well worth the money.

    Wonder capper
    Review by Jameson 19/10/2012
Top Notch capper, it is so easy and straightforward to use and laughs in the face of all those irregular bottles and weird necks that the twin handled cappers cry about or worse...snap the necks of.

The adjustable height is a doddle to use and I find grouping all my similar bottles together speeds up the process so I have infrequent adjustments.

I can't believe I never bought one of these earlier...great price here too.

    Good Value For Money
    Review by Daveon 06/10/2012
Bought this as I am fed up with the two handed version pulling the necks off of bottles. This works a treat and will accept a number of different height bottles.

    Great bit of kit
    Review by TheDoctoron 29/09/2012
OK, so it may be a bit more expensive than other cappers, but....

It is very well made and makes bottle capping easier and quicker.

The only downside is that you can't pop it in a drawer when you've finished.

I have mine in the BrewHouse (or as TheNurse calls it "utility room") fixed to the counter.

    Recommend it highly.

    Excellent bit of kit
    Review by Simonon 29/09/2012
Bought this because I was sick of using a hammer capper, particularly after one bottle smashed on me. This makes the whole process far easier. My only complaint would be that the magnet that holds the cap in place fell off on the first go. It really isn't a hardship to put the cap straight on the bottle though. Would highly recommend to anyone who is regularly bottling beer etc.

    wouldn't be without it now
    Review by Chefon 11/09/2012
I was slightly worried before I bought this that as I didn't have a dedicated capping space it wouldn't be as usefull but I attached it to a bit of chipboard and it works like a dream. None of the worry of an "Emily" - much safer and quicker.

    Perfect
    Review by Samuelon 18/04/2012
Totally fed up with my 2 lever capper, but as it just doesn't work on some bottles (wychwood style?) and breaks others, making the bottling process a total nightmare i decided this would be a worthwhile investment.

While not a huge amount of money, as this hobby goes its a fortune (thats at least 100 pints!) so i was a little concerned at the cost being that its probably the single most expensive brewing related investment thus far (bar the original pack of kit), but thankfully what was delivered is a well built and very easy to use product which while i've only done 1 batch, i'm sure will last and makes bottling considerably easier, less frustrating, and most importantly, FASTER!

Good product - makes life easier!
    Review by Duncanon 18/04/2012
We cap 300 - 400 bottles a week and this capper definitely makes life easier, although we still need to bolt it onto a bit of wood to make it more stable. I can't believe we were doing it all with an Emily beforehand...
