Often described as the Ultimate Homebrew Keg.

This starter set is perfect for those looking to upgrade to these great kegs.

Set includes:

* 2 x New Cornelius Style Kegs (ball lock)

* 1 x Chrome Tap + disconnect

* 1 x Grey Gas In Disconnect

* 1 x Co2 Regulator

* All connectors and 3/8 gas line.

All you need is a Co2 bottle. Find a local source of Co2 bottles here - Link

These kegs are normally used by pubs and restaurants to serve non-alcoholic fizzy drinks. These kegs are brand new. The beer is fully fermented and left to clear in a secondary fermenter. Co2 is then injected back into the beer to make it fizzy rather than naturally through secondary fermentation in the barrel. They are also made of stainless steel and therefore very hard wearing. There are advantages to these barrels, namely they are easier to fit in the fridge, they can be transported as there is no sediment and they can be fitted with bar style taps for home bars. Capacity is less than a standard barrel at 4 Gallons (approx) so you may need to bottle the balance of a 5 gallon brew.

These are the top of the line soda style keg on the market. They are made in Italy by AEB. They have been manufacturing these kegs in Italy since 1989 and their focus is on top notch quality. Here are some of the benefits and qualifications of these kegs:

304 Stainless Steel

NSF Approved for Beverage use.

Serial Numbers on each part with sanitary welds.

ISO 9000 MAA Approval by Coca Cola Manufactured by AEB since 1989 (23 years!)

If you are considering these - JUST DO IT!
    Review by Darylon 14/03/2016
I recently bought this set up after a year or so of bottling - and I regret not doing it sooner. Makes life so much simpler, quicker and a better product at the end. Just transfer your bright beer to the keg, connect the gas, and in less than a week you've got a sediment free perfect pint! I added on a growler too for portability.

Unfortunately came with old instructions, but Greg put me straight and this kit is FANTASTIC! Beer is carbonating now and the forum is great for tips, looking forward to using these for many years!!

You will regret not doing this sooner.
    Review by Victoron 28/10/2015
I recently went for the two keg starter set and I will never look back. I spent a couple of years bottling. It is fine when you start out, since you do not know any better. The thought of all the connectors and fittings and the CO2 tank can be a bit intimidating. All you need is the starter set and a CO2 tank. Transferring your beer into a keg takes a few minutes, vs a couple of hours when you need to bottle.

Most people agree that beer from a keg tastes much better, since you do not have yeast flaring up each time you open a bottle. I recently bought a shank and a faucet wrench to mount the tap from the starter set on a kegerator. All of the parts with the set is being used, so you are not going to waste any money on redundant equipment when you choose to expand your kegging setup down the line. All parts are working well. You cannot beat being able to pour your own pint.

An excellent way to speed up the brewing process
    Review by Andrewon 26/10/2015
I had some extra special bitter brewing, ready for these kegs and as soon I was able to get the beer into them, I then force carbonated the beer.

By god, the beer is excellent, it gives a good head and sticks to the glass on the way down and this took from brewing to kegging one week.

A word of advice check all connections for possible leaks.

    Overall, highly recommended

    Better than Bottling!
    Review by Jameson 22/07/2015
I am really pleased with the purchase of this set but I have made some tweaks. I quickly went over to a beer fridge/ kegerator, second tap and beer line rather than connecting the taps direct to the kegs. It was working ok but without the fridge the beer was warm and frothy, with the fridge the beer was the right temp but still hard to pour. I know have two taps with shanks through an old fridge door and the gas line going in through the side. Beer is well carbonated, pours great and it takes 10 minutes to fill these instead of 2 hours with bottles!
  • sliced bread isn't as good
    Review by richon 10/06/2014
SUPERB I am so glad I went to these kegs. I thought the beer straight out of the fermenter was good, but my beer now is better than ever.
Years ago when I started with kits with the pressure barrels I thought that was good beer, shows what I new. That's probably why I stopped. But now many years later I have tasted the real deal, and this starter kit is the icing on the cake.
The kegs are very well made and seal without a problem. The disconnects are effortless to use as is the regulator. The tap is a bit lively and my aim has got to get better!

Overall a great piece of kit. Very well priced and delivered lighting fast.

    Good value, well made.
    Review by DaveTon 25/01/2014
I've wanted to switch over to Cornies for some time and this starter kit is ideal. It was delivered a few days after ordering and the kegs were brand new, not reconditioned as stated in the description. They are certainly well engineered and look great. I have a good source of beer gas nearby so it all looks like plain sailing so far.

I'll need to buy 2 more kegs before long because I've now found I can fit 4 into my beer fridge with enough room for one shelf full of 40 bottles over the top. Roll on whatever summer we're likely to get this year. I can almost taste that ice cold Kolsch sliding down. Happy days.

Upgrading to these kegs as partner sick of bottles everywhere and I am sick of cleaning 40+ at a time. Have read excellent reviews so have splashed a bit hard earned!

Fast delivery - product as described etc... - Immaculate - well packaged and all that.

Simple to follow set up instructions with phone and email link if further info is required, which I thought was good as I am a complete novice user of cornie kegs.

Already sorted my gas out for Monday and have got brew ready to go straight in.

    Happy days!!!

    Great starter kit
    Review by Sarahon 04/05/2013
My partner has been banging on about 'brew in a bag' forever now and always hated sediment in his largers. I emailed brewUK to ask some amateur (silly) questions and Gregg got into contact and was extremely helpful.

About the product - partner seems happy, so must all be there. The kegs were in a immaculate condition, all very well packaged and was delivered promptly. The kegs were sealed to show they retained the pressure, which is great. Everybody's happy.

    Excellent kit plus backup service
    Review by Jcmon 13/04/2013
This is a great value kit and suggest adding the john guest splitter if you you are ordering a beer gun to as you'll need that to add co2 to the gun.

Also excellent back up service - I knocked over my co2 tank and snapped off the hose barb. Brewuk sent me one in the post straight away!! They couldn't be more helpful!

    Great kit, great service
    Review by Paulieton 09/11/2012
Decided to upgrade from pressure barrels to Cornelius kegs and saw this as an ideal way to get started. Had checked other sites (ebay etc) and this worked out the best deal once all the postage / collection charges had been taken into account. Ordered Thursday morning, delivered next day. Kegs are in excellent condition with very few marks on them. I'd heard about other suppliers sending kegs in pretty poor condition so am very happy with these.

    Excellent Cornie starter set
    Review by Warrenon 08/04/2012
For reconditioned kegs, these kegs were immaculate and all sent pressurised to show all the seals were good. Very easy to disassemble for cleaning/sanitation purposes. My first brew in the Cornie was a winner - having tight control of carbonation is a massive advantage of this set up. Would certainly recommend to those who are thinking of moving towards this set up.
