Often described as the Ultimate Homebrew Keg.

This starter set is perfect for those looking to upgrade to these great kegs.

Set includes:

* 1 x New Cornelius Style Keg (ball lock)

* 1 x Chrome Tap + disconnect

* 1 x Grey Gas In Disconnect

* 1 x Co2 Regulator

* All connectors and 3/8 gas line.

All you need is a Co2 bottle. Find a local source of Co2 bottles here - Link

These kegs are normally used by pubs and restaurants to serve non-alcoholic fizzy drinks. These kegs are brand new. The beer is fully fermented and left to clear in a secondary fermenter. Co2 is then injected back into the beer to make it fizzy rather than naturally through secondary fermentation in the barrel. They are also made of stainless steel and therefore very hard wearing. There are advantages to these barrels, namely they are easier to fit in the fridge, they can be transported as there is no sediment and they can be fitted with bar style taps for home bars. Capacity is less than a standard barrel at 4 Gallons (approx) so you may need to bottle the balance of a 5 gallon brew.

These are the top of the line soda style keg on the market. They are made in Italy by AEB. They have been manufacturing these kegs in Italy since 1989 and their focus is on top notch quality. Here are some of the benefits and qualifications of these kegs:

304 Stainless Steel

NSF Approved for Beverage use.

Serial Numbers on each part with sanitary welds.

ISO 9000 MAA Approval by Coca Cola Manufactured by AEB since 1989 (23 years!)

cornelius keg delux collected in person
    Review by Derekon 19/07/2017
This is a great starter kit for anyone moving from standard kegs , I contacted Greg online late Thursday afternoon requesting collection on Friday morning , I arrived just before 9 and my order was sorted very quickly indeed as I had to go to work after collection . The staff could not have been more helpful and I was on my way within 15 mins, A big thanks to the staff , This starter kit is perfect as I have been using 5ltr mini kegs , The beer has improved through using these kegs as opposed to small kegs , very easy to setup and worth the money , as beer in public houses is rather expensive you will soon come to realise that after less than 2 brews the kit has paid for itself , do yourself a favour and buy one .

    Great for Lager!
    Review by Robon 26/04/2017
Yes, may be pricy but worth it. The lager has been in store for over 4 weeks now and is perfect every time. Its a bit frothy so probably need to alter the pressure. May consider getting another key for storing the beer.

    Excellent starter keg
    Review by Rosson 18/04/2017
Bought this last year but only got round to using it recently. I will be honest haven't used the tap provided with the kit but instead opted for bigger line (3/8 or 5/16) to 3/16 on a dalex style tap and works wonders. For co2 I use hobbyweld food grade co2 with the gauge etc supplied with no issues so happy about that.

    First time user of keg
    Review by Robon 27/03/2017
Having invested in equipment to brew lager I decided that the plastic keg wasn't up to the job. Instead I have replaced it with the Cornelius keg and so far the beer has been in top form.
Other plus points: fits into the free standing fridge. Dead easy to get going.
Slight challenge trying to find a CO2 supplier but one at the same location as BrewUK.

Kegs are the way to go
    Review by Geoffon 31/08/2016
I love the simplicity of kegging - beautiful new keg.
I've tried some 'used kegs' and never again - too many issues and risks, don't trust leaking or contamination from unknown source.
Buy new - worth the extra initial outlay for peace of mind.

    Great system
    Review by Garyon 16/11/2015
I have been using pressure barrels and bottling successfully but was attracted to the Cornelius system because of the potential to be able to keg clear beer and transport it without stirring up the sediment - something that is difficult with pressure barrels and mini kegs. I got the starter kit to get everything I needed in one go (apart from the gas). I had a beer that was ready to go in the keg but wasn't quite as clear as I would have liked, but I kegged it anyway because I wanted it ready for a specific event. The gear was easy to assemble and I was impressed with the quality of everything. The tap in particular is heavy and well made. One thing I learned was to turn the gas regulator control slowly and wait for the pressure to stabilise. The beer carbonated over a week but I left the pressure on for a second week before dispensing. The beer actually cleared further in the keg and dispensed clear right to the last half pint, which pleased and surprised me. The dispense pipe in the keg is very close to the bottom and I feared that dispensing would pull though sediment but it didn't. The keg dispensed fully right to the last drop. All in all I'm very impressed and may invest in a second keg.

    Great
    Review by Robon 15/09/2015
Great price when compared to the cost of the many second hand examples around. Bit of a hiccup in that a wrong part was delivered for the tap, but to their credit Brewuk rectified this ASAP when we contacted them.
    Smells nice too.

Excellent investment and a step up
    Review by Joeon 11/08/2015
I have been into homebrewing for the past couple years. First using plastic bottles with starter kits then swing tops and King Kegs. The Corney is great step up and will be my keg of choice from now on! See my youtube video [https://youtu.be/AjsN8w0e6B0]
As ever great service from Greg and team from order to shipment, on time for an All Grain Mosiac IPA to be kegged up. Delux Kit has everything you need to get started apart from CO2 bottle.

    Worth the investment
    Review by Lawrenceon 03/04/2015
I wished I had not ignored the good advice I received from Greg @ Brew UK and invested in Corni kegs ages ago. I will save loads of time and space and produce a better quality product to enjoy with friends and family.

    Excellent service
    Review by Staffexon 22/12/2014
I ordered the Cornelius starter kit for my son's 30th birthday but he wanted the baby keg substituted for the full size one. The company promptly dealt with my emailed request and gave a £5 refund to boot.

    Barrel Ditched Forever!!
    Review by Craigon 14/03/2014
After the last couple of brews going flat in the barrel and needing constant gas, I decided my next one was going to be done in a corny. I now I will never turn back....

The starter kit really did include everything except the gas canister, which I had no trouble sourcing in Bolton. After a couple of days under pressure, the Coopers Stout I had brewed up (with treacle as per the forums) tastes a treat.

I'm going to have to empty the keg quickly, though, as I want to get another brew in asap to see how that turns out!

    Great product to start with.

    excellent kit, superb quality
    Review by Joeon 10/09/2013
Great bit of kit, keg arrived with no dents or scratches of any kind and new seals. Took very little cleaning and is many times superior to the King Keg barrel I usually use.I no longer have to worry about the constantly falling pressure and the modular ability of this type of keg is unmatched.
First brew is carbonating nicely, looking forward to sampling to outcome.

    Cornelius Keg Start Set
    Review by Simboon 25/07/2013
As this is my first foray into kegging I wasn't really sure what to expect. However I was really impressed with the keg itself - no dents, scratches or imperfections of any kind. It came with some pressure inside showing there were no leaks. The regulator was pretty straightforward, the only fiddly bit was getting the supplied jubilee clip to tighten onto the outlet pipe as the screw was pretty hard to turn while holding onto everything else. That only took a couple of minutes though. Hooking up to the CO2 cannister was simple enough. Only thing now is waiting for my first brew to be ready to try out in the keg! Would definitely recommend this keg and will be planning on getting some more in the future.

Great keg, but kit is "basic" not "deluxe"
    Review by JNon 25/06/2013
Keg itself is very well made, and works well. Couple of comments:

Regulator is one that is made for welding, and so the scales on the gauges extend much too far. The downstream gauge is just able usable if you squint, but the upstream one is no use at all -- it just appears to read nearly-zero, irrespective of how full the cylinder is.

The kit is a complete kit (other than CO2 cylinder) but it is not what I would describe as "deluxe". The gas connection is fine, but the beer connection is just a very basic tap that connects direct to the cylinder. The tap is easily knocked open. Also, because there is no beer line or connections for a beer line, you get loads of froth and little beer. I can get round this by reducing the pressure in the keg, but then the beer is nearly flat. I think this would be less of an issue if I kept the keg in a refrigerator, but I don't have room for that in my cellar.

Finally, I hadn't realised how it was going to be to get hold of CO2 gas cylinders. I'm in London UK, and no-one I could find would supply them to a domestic address or allow me to collect. After much searching I eventually I got lucky and one pub gas supplier said he would do it on the side, but he couldn't tell his boss he was doing it.

So I recommend you avoid the trap I fell into and check you can get a CO2 cylinder before buying this kit!

RESPONSE FROM BREWUK - Thanks for your review. Gas can be difficult to obtain in some area's whilst many others it is very easy. In Salisbury we have two suppliers who will supply anyone for around £18 no deposit but it is always best to locate the gas first. We appreciate your comments regarding the kit but we have put this together to not only offer value for money but also to provide all the connections to get you going and make things simple. Yes different tap systems are available but they usually require mounting and additional fittings which not only adds costs but makes the system more difficult to setup. The taps are stainless steel and although basic are very good quality and very easy to use. The regulators are welding regulators but they provide a decent gauge which should be easy enough to read. We use them ourselves without issues. Again these are competitively priced and offer readings in PSI which many don't.

    High-quality equipment
    Review by Paddleron 14/05/2013
I was very impressed with the keg - its a giant leap ahead from my old plastic barrel. The regulator is very solid and works as it should with a good range of adjustment. I am looking forward to many happy pints of proper draught beer.
