    Really good product
    Review by Joeon 04/07/2016
I bought my first batch of 4 boxes over 18 months ago and I've used them repeatedly. Ideal product, so easy to keep clean and saves on weight which is quite important when you are a mature brewer!

    I'm bottling it!
    Review by nellybrewon 25/04/2016
Good quality bottles. What i like about them is they weigh less than a glass bottle. Multiply that by a batchesworth of beer and it makes it so much easier to transport. Also the shaped dimples at the bottom of the bottles are great at catching sediment.

    Review by Kimoon 10/12/2015
Good price and they do the job. However im reading thing on line that PET bottles are not as good as glass for longer term storage as thry let in oxygen. Started using all glass but always use a couple as carbination bottles with a batch of glass. Also a brew im going to drink quickly ill use almost all PET. Good for the price

High quality PET bottles with caps
    Review by neilon 23/11/2015
These PET bottles are a great alternative to using glass. After using them to bottle a 23L or even 10L batch I find it reduces the weight significantly. It certainly makes it a lot easier when transfering a crate or two for secondary fermentation and conditioning. They are easy to wash and fill as neck is quite wide. Caps give a good seal and thread lasts long. I'm being ultra picky now - gave 4* as put a few in the dishwasher at 50°C (was being lazy the morning after the night before) and they warped with the heat making them unuseable.

Good bottles, does what a bottle should do
    Review by Peteron 29/06/2015
Great little bottles. I find them a lot safer to use than glass bottles (no bits of glass in the bath from when I've been cleaning them). They say that the beer doesn't last as long in PET as it does in glass but in my house, the beer doesn't last that long anyway so not really a problem for me.

Quality bottles great for keg transfers
    Review by AubreyGon 26/06/2015
I usually bottle up around half of a batch from a corny keg (10 litres) and give away to friends. Using a beer gun (following guidelines for chilling and keg/gun pressure) it's a breeze filling these bottles up. They're extremely light in weight, so easy to store up high when empty. Caps fit very well and tight, and can be reused. Where the bottles are very thin and don't retain much residual warmth, they help with reducing foaming when bottling, which was more noticeable with glass bottles if the bottles weren't chilled. really easy to keep clean if rinsed out straight after use and then just sanitised with a blast of starsan. Hold pressure really well and had no probs over several batches. The tamper proof seals on caps only becoming annoying once used, as you really need to cut the little ring off that's left on the bottle, or the cap doesn't go on so easily after that. No probs reusing caps once ring removed.
Friends bring them back and they get refilled! Not as "pro" as glass and caps, but been there and done that, and the PET bottles win for me.

    Review by Brewer10on 29/01/2015
I always used to use a barrel ( for over 30 years of home brewing ! ) but these bottles work wonders because I can keep the beer for longer and take some with me when I travel/go camping. Thanks for the very quick postage as well to France.

    So easy
    Review by Travipooon 15/05/2014
Great invention. So easy to bottle. Watch for tightness, I checked mine after a day and some had loosened. They always feel warm due to the insulating properties of thick plastic. My wife will always tell me that the beer isn't cold enough when they've been in the fridge for days.

Bought myself 48 of these little beauties for my Coopers Lager. Great value and no loss of quality in taste compared to glass bottles. Highly recommended and easy to use. Can be used again and again, and the caps can be reused too.

    PET home brew 500ml bottles
    Review by Clareon 04/09/2013
This is my first foray into the world of home brewing. The bottles are great. Lightweight and packed well in a strong box which makes a handy storage area for the brew to mature. They are much cheaper than glass bottles and the caps are reusable too. Delivery was not the quickest but it was a bank holiday weekend. I would recommend this product and the company.

    Easy to uese and re-use
    Review by Colinon 14/08/2013
I've just bought my third box of these. I alternate between barrel and bottles but will probably go for more bottles as you can't carry a barrel around.
Can't comment on how well they work for longer term storage but they're great for a month or two and the caps are re-usable.

I have made 2 batches of beer in a pressure barrel but thought I would try the PEP bottles for a change. Just transfered the beer into the bottles and it seems to be o.k.

    Sent them back.
    Review by Jimon 17/11/2012
I'm brand new to home brewing and have spent a lot of my spare time reading forums and there is a lot of poor opinion about PET bottles. The bottles are great if your going to consume your beer within a month or so but I have no faith that they will hold carbonation 6 months down the line. Plus I've heard that the plastic can affect the taste etc. Some of the brews I'm planning need 2-3 months to bottle condition, some even longer. I'm just going to collect glass bottles and recap them.

    Once you go PET...
    Review by Daveon 16/11/2012
Having used glass previously I wasn't sure what to expect with the PET bottles, but have been pleasantly suprised.

Nice and light, can withstand a good squeeze without losing their shape and have the obvious advantage of being able to withstand more pressure (so no beer bombs... yet).

On their third use now, with no signs of any wear or retention of flavours from previous beers.

Tamper-proof caps add a nice bit of flair when giving someone a brew, but there's no need to replace them one they're spent.

Pros and cons of plastic vs glass?
    Review by Mechon 17/06/2012
Was initially looking for cons on this product but haven't really found any, holds CO2 well with the additional check of the squeeze test :), been informed can breath through plastic but beer doesn't last that long to acheive this.

    Good practical product
    Review by Roberton 12/05/2012
I used to use Grolsch swing top bottles; but these are heavy and breakable and only hold 450ml; the Cooper's PET bottles are light and hold 500ml; you don't need reinforced shelving to store them and I store mine in the original box with a bit of packing type tape to strengthen them; I stack them six boxes high with no stability problems.A much superior bottle to anything else I have tried. I can't understand why they come half way around the world when we could make them here in UK.
Unsure about the tamper proof evident caps or maybe the Aussies can give us the answer!

    Good choice
    Review by Larryon 26/03/2012
PET may not last as long as glass but there are a number of advantages: easier to transport, withstands much more pressure, and easier to seal. These are superior to clear PET bottles and sturdier. Good looking bottles, too.

Not sure what the thinking is behind the tamper-proof caps but I suppose they could be useful?

I prefer these to glass bottles
    Review by Radtooon 24/02/2012
I think this is the better solution for me than glass bottles.

They are well-shaped for holding with one hand, and work just fine overall.

And compared to glass, these bottles are significantly lighter, can be handled with less care, and are less expensive. I see no reason not to prefer them.

PS: Brown bottles are a much better choice if you prefer your beer not to skunk in light. This bottle seems to have about the same properties with regards to preventing skunking as a brown glass bottle would, as far as I can tell from limited experience.

    coopers 500ml pet bottles
    Review by homebrewleighon 30/12/2011
my brother in law swears by grolsh style bottles but as an avid caravanner weight is always a thing that has to be considered for me and carrying a load of unwanted glass around that in my opinion has no improvement to the taste of the brew is a no brainer.

    Review by Jameson 15/07/2011
There is a certain drama associated with a glass bottle and a proper cap but PETS are just easier. No chance of broken glass, no faffing about with a capper and no hunting for the opener when you fancy a drink.
These PETS are sturdy, they don't taint the drink and they look better than most when lined up in the fridge.

Being a HB newbie I don't have anything to compare these Coopers PET bottles to, but my experience with them is a definite thumbs up. The value is superb and there is no plasticy taste whatsoever.
Since my first purchase I've bought another 2 boxes - highly recommended!

Brilliant bottles for the price range.
    Review by Neil Bon 13/09/2010
These bottles are fantastic! 24 for £10.99 is a real bargain. I have now bottled my Way to Amarillo beer and the results after 10 days maturing is phenomanal. No hint of a plastic taste i was expecting from PET bottles only beery goodness.
These look as though they can last for a very long time which is exactly the sort of thing i am looking for.
I would highly recommend these bottles if you don't want to risk glass ones laying around or shattering from pressure build up.

The clear plastic bottles hold 1litre and these hold 500ml or half a litre so they are twice the price as the others but will last twice as long.

They are stronger and don't crush like the clear ones.I like having smaller bottles as they fit in my fridge better.

Overall a superior plastic bottle with attractive lids.
