    Great brew
    Review by Jingletoton 15/08/2017
Coopers bitter is the best brew we've tried. Always ferments quickly, clears perfectly and tastes great.

    Very good bitter
    Review by Annaon 09/12/2016
My first try on home brewing. Bitterness is just right and it is a very nice pint... However for my personal taste I would prefer some more depth for the rest of the flavours so I now need to find a way to tweak this. For any beginners who like ales and bitters this is the one to go for.

    Good Value
    Review by Joshon 22/02/2016
Use this kit fairly regularly and brew using dried malt extract and a liquid yeast. The results are usually pretty good - well balanced copper-coloured beer that constitutes a good, easy starter option for beginners and excellent value for money.

    Beer.....
    Review by paulon 16/12/2015
This my 2nd brew of this kit.The 1st one was a cracker. The longer in the bottle, the better.Thats the hard bit! Brewed with spray malt this time,so may be even better.

    One I'll come back to
    Review by Speccyon 13/01/2015
Of the twenty or so different kits I've tried, including a fair few of the Coopers range, this is one of the best. Made up with beer enhancer it's got a lovely dark colour, plenty of body, a distinct toffeeish character and a robust bitterness that's just about right for me. It had cleared and was drinkable within a week of bottling (er, stock control issues...) and it's very easy to pour, the yeast clinging to the bottom of the bottle nicely. Probably the nearest kit I've found to Hobgoblin, and definitely on my to-do-again list.

    great bitter
    Review by mickon 29/09/2013
made this on my second brew and it turned out great use 700g dextrose and 500g medium spray malt, just as good as any commercial bottled bitter.

    Drinkable, but not the best
    Review by Radiowaveson 20/02/2013
Gave this one a try after being given it as a gift. Made using the Coopers brew enhancer No.2. Certainly cleared very quickly into a nice dark looking bitter, but I am not quite convinced by the taste, some what strong indistinct flavour with a strange bitter after taste?? It has improved slightly with age, but not one I will rush to do again.

    A must try
    Review by daveCon 02/02/2013
For my taste coopers make some of the best and worse beer kits on the
    market.
Coopers English Bitter is one of their BEST.
I make it 3 or 4 times a year and love it

    English Bitter? Where?
    Review by Gunnerholicon 04/10/2012
Let me just say that I was not keen on this brew at all. You might be able to con your aussie compatriots into thinking this is an English bitter but it didn't fool me I'm afraid. I feel that the malt consistency was about right but the weird after taste I experienced must come from those Pride of Ringwood hops that Coopers do so love. The High Alpha acid content just throws the balance out completely and the end result is far too Bitter for its namesake. My advice is to avoid this and buy a Woodforde's Wherry kit if your after a really sessionable English Bitter. 2/5

    Good in a shandy!
    Review by Jasperon 28/09/2012
First attempt at brewing, I think it must have become contaminated because it has a really weird taste! I'm sure it's probably really nice if you take more care in the sterilising process.
