    Awesome IPA
    Review by Hairysteve on 10/02/2017
I brewed this as advised on this site with 500g Spraymalt light & 500g brewing sugar.
Left it to ferment at 21deg for a couple of longer than the coopers instructions but got the desired final gravity.
Bottled it & primed with 4g sugar per bottle & left in the airing cupboard for 2 weeks then garage for another 4 (didn't plan that long as ended up offshore) but got a nice IPA at the end of it. Will definitely brew this one again but might add some extra hops.

    nice drop
    Review by nealon 02/06/2016
brewed this with 750g of dextrose and 500g of muntons light spraymalt and fermented it at 19deg with Wyeast 1056, added 50g of East Kent Goldings to the secondary for 3days before bottling, and ended up with a wonderful beer at 5.9%, going to do it again very soon, can't see it lasting all that long !

    Brilliant
    Review by Martinon 18/08/2015
This is a brilliant kit to start with and to add hop combo's to. Brewed this several times and never had a bad result with it. Great straight and even better for adding hops to, recommended.

    my favourite kit
    Review by Amarilloon 04/03/2015
I've brewed this kit loads of times - it's great. 14 days in primary, dry-hop it on day 12, bottle on day 15. Reading by day 30. Smashing. A real 'craft beer' style IPA. I keep coming back to this one.

    First taste
    Review by SamGTon 24/09/2014
I couldn't wait a couple of weeks and had a couple of bottles in the fridge on day 7 after bottling. First impressions are that it is very clear and tastes good. Just bitter enough but lacks a little background flavour.

I'll be keeping my hands off for another week but I'm over the moon at this stage.

    I'VE MADE BEER!

    Great and all gone
    Review by Travipooon 12/05/2014
I decided to get back into brewing after a twenty year lay off. I had no kit and stumbled upon the Coopers starter pack. I opted for this IPA over lager and started brewing on the 2/4/14. After six days it had finished fermenting and I bottled it in the plastic PET bottles (a new one on me) and put in one carbonation drop per bottle. So easy.
After two weeks carbonation, I moved them to a cool place and placed a few in the fridge. I tried one on the 6/5/14 and wow! What a fantastic beer! My wife and I polished off a few bottles and I had friends round on the weekend. I drank the last bottle yesterday 11/5/14. Coopers have restored my long lost passion for homebrew and I will work my way through the recipes.

    First Brew
    Review by Tomon 21/11/2013
Went for this can for my first brew and so far it is going great. Added 1kg of Munton's Brew Enhancer and bottled it after about 1 week of fermentation, when completed. Had a little taste prior to bottling and it was really nice. The additional time and priming sugar will no doubt improve the beer. I managed to get 40 bottles (500ml) filled but probably used too much when testing it with the hydrometer, so 42 bottles is about right.

    Can't go wrong
    Review by Kiton 02/08/2013
The second kit I've bought, and I'll be buying again. 'Best beer I've ever tasted' according to my 78-year-old dad - can't argue with that!

Top tip - Added a spoonful of honey to each bottle (with some difficulty) along with a wee tad of sugar. A little over pressured as a result but tasted amazing.

Great kit for a great price
    Review by Oliveron 11/07/2013
This is the second kit I've done and it is now been conditioning in the barrel for several weeks. For sugar I used brew enhancer and have gotten as a result a wonderfully drinkable ale. I left this in the fermenter for almost three weeks and this must have plaid a part in how fast it cleared as this has produced a wonderfully clear beer with a gorgeous golden colour and even after transporting within two days it had settled back to completely clear which I was very impressed with!

    Excellent !!
    Review by COLINon 08/04/2013
Tried this and followed the tweeked version from the forum , it was bottled . I tried it after 3 weeks in the bottle and thought it too hoppy and just not conditioned enough , so left it in a cool place for another month , it had changed to a really nice golden colour , had a real sparkle , good long lasting head , was very impressed , and going to start another brew for the summer .

    Excellent kit
    Review by Chrison 22/03/2013
One of the best kits I've done to date.
I have tried with 1kg of sugar added. Kegged, cleared nicely and was good to drink after a few weeks. One of the most bitter kits I've tried.

I decided to give it a second try, and is without a doubt the best beer I have brewed (out of around 15). This time I added 1kg of Cooper's beer enhancer 2, 15g of Cascade hops boiled for 5 mins, then dry hopped with another 30g of Cascade. I was drinkable after a week (just a little try) and after 1 month, it was superb. 5 stars, kits do not get much better than this.

IPA A Good Brew and pleasent drink
    Review by markon 20/07/2012
This one was my second purchase. My first was the Coopers Home Brew Starters kit which was a good clean refreshing drink. You'd need to drink a few pimts of it to get merry!
On the other hand IPA is a little stronger and more my type of beer.

You can't go wrong with Coopers
    Review by Mark Tayloron 21/05/2012
Tried this at weekend after just 3 weeks in the bottle, I usually wait 6 weeks but I picked it up by accident, and its already good. Good bitter taste at the end with a nice aroma. I made a hop tea with 25g of Cascade hops added this to the FV with the IPA can, 500g spray light malt extract and 500g brew enhancer. Then after 4 days in the FV, dry hopped with 25g of cascade (next time I'll dry hop with 50g). Half a tsp of brewing sugar in each 500ml bottle and the carbonation is just about right with a good head.
This is my 3rd Coopers kit and all have been good with a minimum of 50% malt extract.

    Easy brewing and great tasting
    Review by Danon 15/07/2011
Brewed in just 5 days from 1040 to 1008, bottled and cleared in just 4 days. Tastes really good after just a week, but I'm going to be leaving it good a while to condition. This is a great kit at this price. I made it up using 500g light spray malt and 300g brew enhancer in addition to the can.

    Cracking little kit
    Review by Markon 30/06/2011
This kit offers a great IPA at a great price!

I was surprised how good this ale tasted. I had left
it to condition in a pressure barrel for 2 months while
I finished of 40 pints of another ale.

This is a very drinkable and should be a must for
anyone who is looking for a good kit to add to their
    top ale list.

    FYI.
I added 700 grammes of sugar in addition to the contents of the kit.

I will defenetly be doing this kit again.

    Superb, Golden and Refreshing
    Review by Philipon 16/02/2011
Made as per the instructions with the malt, and after no time at all it cleared to a golden amber, and tastes fantastic. Brilliant after a hard days work, although deceptively strong, at about 5.5%. The yeast deposit is solid too, so you need take no special care when pouring. I am sold on Coopers, and will definitely be doing this one again.

    Great Starter Kit
    Review by Muffleson 16/10/2010
Was a bit concerned when received to read that it needed 1Kg of Malt to add to kit. Ignored that and used Tate and Lyle White Caster sugar and it was still fantastic. Really hoppy and great taste.
