Good for dry hoppingThis works well in my all-grain 5 gallon system. After fermentation is finished I syphon off the beer to a 5 gallon keg to rest and settle for at least a couple of weeks before bottling. I tried putting 50g of the loose bramling cross leaf hops into the keg for dry hopping. I broke the lumps of pressed hops up with my fingers beforehand and didn't use a net bag as it makes it difficult to get the hops back out at the end. When syphoning out for bottling after a few weeks, I put a small net bag around the bottom of the syphon tube to avoid the hop leaves blocking up the inlet. The resulting beer had a lovely hoppy flavour and was clear. Pellet hops don't work well at all in my system for dry hopping. They break up into a fine suspension and cause a haze all through the beer which takes forever to settle in the keg and bottle. Leaf hops are no problem in that regard.

Superb hopsMy favourite hops. I heard a rumour Theakston's use this to dry hop their beers so I tried the same. Gets great results. The ever-so-slight fruity/blackcurrant notes from the dry hopping are subtle but distinctive, not to mention delicious.
