The BeerGun™ from Blichmann Engineering is a revolutionary new bottle filler that eliminates the complication and time-consuming operation and cleaning of traditional counter pressure (CP) bottle fillers used to fill bottles from kegs. The Quiescent Flow Technology℠ of the BeerGun™ eliminates the complication of CP fillers, while maintaining the primary function – purging a bottle with CO2 (no oxygen pick-up) and filling it with minimal foaming and carbonation loss. The other main feature is the intuitively obvious operation and very simple sanitation procedure. Couple this with the auto fill level and ability to fill any depth bottle without modification makes this filler a clear standout. And since it’s from Blichmann Engineering you know it’s high quality, well engineered, and easy to use! Quiescent Flow Technology℠ is so different and so easy to use it’s patent pending!! At Blichmann Engineering, we set our vision on developing a product to perform a function from the ground up, not just improve on today’s designs. So instead of pressurizing a bottle to keg pressure like CP fillers do to reduce foaming – with all its complicated valving and cumbersome operation - we designed a filler that gradually reduces the beer from keg pressure to atmospheric pressure with little turbulence. The result is a consistent bottle fill with little foaming and no oxygen pick-up. Foaming is caused predominantly by turbulence and sudden changes in pressure. The unique design of the BeerGun™ eliminates the need to pressurize the bottle by providing a non-throttling, quick-acting valve placed at the BOTTOM of the filler stem, and a beer delivery system that is very low in turbulence. All current designs use a valve at the TOP of the filler. Placing the valve at the bottom not only allows the valve to be quickly immersed in the beer, further reducing pressure change and turbulence, it keeps the stem full of beer at all times. Traditional fillers, or filling from a tap with a hose, forces the beer down an empty tube each time, kicking up foam along the way. And since the beer is sealed in the filler stem when the BeerGun™ is removed from the bottle, it automatically provides a consistent bottle fill level when the stem is removed! These features, coupled with a CO2 jacketing tube for bottle purging, and ergonomic valve actuators, means filling a bottle is faster, intuitively obvious, more accurate, and easier than ever before! And since a pressurizing stopper isn’t required, you can fill any depth bottle without buying different stem lengths or adding plastic hose extensions. With the BeerGun™ from Blichmann Engineering, filling a bottle is as simple as pushing a valve for CO2 purge, and then pulling a trigger for beer. It’s that simple!!

    Brilliant piece of kit.
    Review by Richardon 26/04/2017
This is a brilliant piece of kit for filling bottles for competitions from pressurised corny kegs. It's simplicity itself to use - once you have all the bits and bobs to attach it to your gas and beer etc - A one handed, easy to operate essential for any brewer.

    A significant upgrade
    Review by Idon 21/02/2017
The new Blichmann Beer Gun 2.0 is indeed a significant upgrade on the earlier version. The manufacturer has - either intuitively, or more likely through judicious use of customer feedback - addressed each of my (mainly minor) criticisms of BBG 1.0. This feels more robust in the hand and, most importantly, the rubber tip now stays in place! The storage box is a nice touch too.

    Works great
    Review by Colinon 13/02/2017
Having ummed and arred for some time I finally bought a beer gun and I have to say it works great. Bare in mind that the accessory kit is designed for a dual regulator; I have a single regulator and so needed a splitter and a JG adaptor (about £7).

    Go for ya gun!
    Review by Ant Rogersonon 26/03/2016
ok - homebrew = saving money, and this isn't cheap, but I managed to get one of these as a collective Christmas and Birthday pressie and it is fantastic. When you go from bottling your beer to kegging lets face it none one misses it, but then certain scenarios appear that you didn't think about - like taking a few bottles off the keg for friends, or for bottling a batch that can only really be bottled - like a Russian Imperial Stout from page180 :-)
True it takes a little dialling in to your preference of carbonation and beer styles - for me 15psi for straightforward Pale Ales - but the key is to get EVERYTHING cold. CO2 dissolves more into a colder liquid, so working on that it'll come out the warmer it is, so chill your sanitiser, chill your bottles and put the bottles into a jug of iced water as you fill them.
Great piece of equipment that I wouldn't be without now.

Nice bit of kit, a bit fiddly to avoid foaming
    Review by ph4don 09/12/2015
The beergun is dead easy to set up after the recommended initial clean.

I bottled about 8 330ml bottles of a stout which I had chilled in a keg to about 5degC. The bottles were also chilled. I kept a bottle of starsan at my side to plunge the beergun into between bottles and when I needed to put it down.

It's handy being able to purge with CO2 before the fill, and is very easy to do.

The main difficulty I had was that despite the keg and bottles being chilled, I still got quite a bit of foaming. I wasn't sure how much liquid was in the bottle below the foam so capped anyway. When the foam subsided later I saw the liquid level was just below the bottle neck. I tried also just pressing the beergun trigger lightly to slow the flow, but this made foaming worse, which to be fair was mentioned in the manual.

Having spoken to a friend who uses this beergun it seems that I should try to chill to a lower temp if possible, and to reduce the pressure to a minimum both at the regulator and by purging some CO2 out of the keg's headspace before bottling, then to take it slowly. I think with some practice I'll get the hang of avoiding foaming.

    Superb Product
    Review by Grahamon 22/10/2015
I only received this yesterday (21st October) however was quickly able to set this up and after a quick sanitise have a trial run. I was able to bottle 10 bottles direct from a Corny keg in no time. I had chilled the bottles to 1 degree which helped to reduce the foaming and love being able to purge the bottle of Co2. This is going to help me greatly to store my hoppy batches in bottles to help keep aroma with no sediment as well as giving me more scope to fill those kegs more often. Superb product which takes the pain out of bottling.

    Makes bottling a doddle
    Review by Paulon 31/05/2013
Setting this thing up is a bit time consuming compared to using a bottling bucket but the advantages far outweigh this. This is a great way to bottle pre-carbonated beer from a Cornelius keg, I bought it with the accessory kit (also sold at BrewUK).

Great product, really well made and super simple to disassemble for cleaning.
