  1. 100%
    Worked perfectly

    Review by on

I tried this for the first time replacing the Bac disks with the original Braumeistet 20L top disks. I got an extra 2kg of malt into the malt pipe for my IPA recipe and the flow worked perfectly during the mashing cycle. I ended up with OG 1070 vice my normal 1055 so looking at a 7.5% end result which I'm thrilled with. Does the job and I may buy the same for my 50L Braumeistet.
  2. 80%
    Good with care

    Review by on

I too found the top sleeve became clogged and the wort was unable to recirculate. I paused the process, removed some of the grain to a bag in a separate boiler with some wort and continued the mash in parallel. The resultant combined efficiency was high (> 80%) but the claim of an increase to 7.4kg is excessive. Will try a slightly smaller bill (e.g. 7kg) next time.
