Great hoppy ale - good in volume on hot days

    Review by on

Just tried the first few bottles of this and I like it a lot. It is hoppy! Let's face it there is a shed load of hops in the recipe, and they come out very well just now. I expect their flavours to develop a little further over the next few weeks.
Martin posts earlier likening this to Punk IPA, which, since he posted, has now appeared in mainstream supermarkets and draft in pubs all over (go Brewdog!). I personally think this (my batch) compares well with Dead Pony as it hasn't the ABV of PIPA . . . and so you can drink more of it. . . . but it has bags of flavour.
Just note, if you are using a bag for dry hopping this then weight it fairly heavily with marbles or whatever as there are a lot of hops to sink ! I had a hop island in the fermenter for a couple of days till I managed to finally sink it.

    Great easy drinker

Good session pale ale. I just opened a bottle of Brewdog Punk IPA and this is just like a low ABV version of it, IMHO, just a smidge lighter bodied.
