Great but things I would change
    Review by Tomon 21/11/2013
After brewing my first batch using this kit, I would change the syphon for an auto syphon and get the hydrometer with the glass sample flask. Also I would recommend getting a second container with a little bottler attached which will reduce the amount of sediment you transfer to your bottles and make bottling 10 x easier. :)

    Pretty good
    Review by Hallinanon 30/06/2013
I bought this kit for my first brew and it's a good starter kit. I'm drinking the beer as I write this and it's okay....I did put way too much priming sugar in when bottling by mistake so the brew is overly fizzy for an ale. Ignoring the overly fizzyness, the taste is okay, nothing amazing, but for my first attempt, I'm happy to drink 40 points of it. It's only been in the bottle two weeks, so perhaps it will improve with a few more weeks.

I've since bought a bottling bucket, as bottling with the syphon provided is a pain and increases the chances of getting some of the unwanted crud in the bottom of the fermenting vessel in your bottles.

If this is your first venture into brewing, I think it's a good place to start, as it gives you the basic equipment, then from here you can decide if you want more bits and bobs.

Masses of fun. Very well explained at every stage. And all pieces of kit can be happily reused. Recommended!!

It seems ok so far but as I've bought for a Christmas present I can't really comment yet.
