The approach is simply based on the same philosophy as the American craft brewing industry; only the best and freshest ingredients are used not sacrificing quality over cost. What really sets this range apart is the use of specially selected yeasts including US West Coast Ale dried yeast sourced from an American craft brewery and Newcastle Dark Ale yeast. All used to bring out the wonderful flavoursome liquid malt extracts with progressive style hops - skillfully combined to bring you a truly inspired range of premium quality American craft beer kits.

    A decent kit beer
    Review by neilon 02/09/2017
If I only had the A.A.A from this range I would have rated higher. Although a different style of beer, the American IPA was far superior. Don't get me wrong it is nice and dangerously drinkable at 6.5% but for me just a little bit bland.

    Lovely Hop aroma and flavour
    Review by Martinon 29/09/2015
I seem to have been luckier than the other reviewers with this one. Took 9 days to ferment then bottled and was drinkable after a week. Lovely aroma and flavour of the hops come through. It's like a less in-your-face version of Festival Golden Stag. So nice to drink as a session or treat. Sadly I've drunk it all now so have purchased the American Pale Ale to try next.

    Disappointed
    Review by WonksterDudeon 06/06/2015
Bought both this and the American IPA when on recent promotion.

It comes with hops, priming sugar and LME pouch and easy like all such kits to prepare for fermenting. Took near to 3 weeks to ferment to FG when in controlled fermentation chamber. Dry hopped for 3 days.

Very disappointed to be honest. Priming sugar for secondary fermentation did not add any carbonation that I can perceive and taste, well, nothing extraordinary.

Woodfordes Wherry was much more exciting as my last brew.

I currently have the American IPA still fermenting after 21 days at 1.060 .. Not expecting great things with the IPA kit now either.

    Not a bad beer.
    Review by Bruceon 07/11/2014
There's nothing to show it on the packaging illustrations or in the website description but this (and the others in the American beers section) is actually a Young's kit. That would probably have put me off but having bought in ignorance I have to say it's pretty good. It has been a bit slow to clear, and may never do so completely, but I can't really find any else to say against it. Good flavour, decent head and not too fizzy having added the priming sugar as supplied to a second FV before bottling. Not over-hopped as some kits can be. Worth a try.
