    Did everything expected
    Review by Alanon 03/02/2016
Before buying the boiler I read the numerous reviews on it, of which all were favorable, and I'm pleased to add mine to them.
It arrived well packaged and it was easy to fit the strainer and tap end.
Being fairly new to home brewing it was to be used on my first extract brew on a gas hob, it soon brought the water up to 65 degrees and was easy to move to the smallest ring where on the lowest setting it held the temperature for the required 30 minutes, before removing the grain bag and sliding it back onto the big ring to rapidly boil the liquid before adding the first of the malt and initial hops. It was just a case of trial and error to get a rolling boil and mark the control knob in that position with a permanent marker for future use.
On completion, with the boiler still on the cooker, the strainer held back all the remaining solids as the cooled liquid was drained into the fv standing on a chair below it.
The boiler was emptied, the strainer was removed and both were easily cleaned before storing away for future use.
The beer is now happily bubbling away in the fv and I'm looking forward to bottling it in a couple of weeks.

    Good
    Review by Jonon 14/11/2015
I bought this on eBay, it didn't come with the brupaks sticker and seemed to have dry liquid marks on the sides but I guess these could have just been chemicals used during manufacture. Item doesn't come with any instructions for removing tap or hop strainer so haven't worked that out yet but seems like a good pan and will be useful having a tap and hops strainer so wort can go straight into the fermenter with no worries :)

    Exactly what you need
    Review by Shaunon 05/08/2015
Exactly what I needed for my extract boils. Plenty of head space to stop boil over, and the hop strainer works really well.

I've since moved on to a Braumeister, and have used it again to heat my sparge water and even Pre-Boil my mash water (The water is ridiculously hard where I live), as my Gas Wok burner is more powerful & cheaper than electric!

    Good value
    Review by Johnon 16/07/2015
Used it first for 5 gallon BIAB brews and now as the boiler on a three vessel set up. The hop strainer works well. It only let me down once when I was forced into using hop pellets and it got clogged up. I'd suggest sticking to whole hops, especially if the recipe requires a lot of hops. Other than that, it's a great bit of kit for the price - can't build one myself for the price.

    Great piece of kit!
    Review by Samon 11/06/2015
Does exactly what you need it to do, good quality and ready to go out of the box. It can be used on a gas cooker and I have been using it for BIAB brews with great success. I would certainly recommend this for a good first kettle.
    Cheers!

    Great value for money
    Review by Andrewon 29/05/2015
I've done a number of 23l brews with this pan now and it works well on my gas hob. As others have commented it is not the most heavy duty pan on the market, but it is perfectly adequate. You should never need to lift a full pan anyway. It has gone up slightly in price since I purchased it, but it is good value for money compared to other similar sized pans, even without a tap and strainer fitted. The tap and hop strainer are good quality.

    Good except handles
    Review by Owainon 09/10/2014
Bought one of these about a year ago and it's perfect for use on a normal gas cooker, only problem with it is the handles they are spot welded and as I have just found out fall off with little warning.

Response from BrewUK - Send us a email and we'll speak to Brupaks for you.

    Invaluable bit of kit
    Review by Chrison 08/07/2014
Great bit of kit for the money, as I got tired of faffing around with electric boilers. As others have said, fairly lightweight, but 30L of wort is heavy enough so not complaining! Also the weight and size makes it just about manageable on the gas hob. Solid tap (once the barb was fully tightened) and hop strainer. Easy to clean. Happy days!
  • Fantastic!
    Review by Peteon 07/07/2014
An excellent bit of kit thats well made and it makes everything simpler, especially as you no longer have to syphon out the wort!
Def worth buying for an easier brew.

Good pan, but better for leaf hops
    Review by Disequilibrium brewingon 27/03/2014
Great pan - good construction, good size and been great for extract brews. Not too heavy, which is nice for cleaning (though it means you have to put something heavy on the lid if you put it in an ice bath.

Only drawback is that the filter can get clogged if you use pellet hops, but it is great at straining out leaf hops. For purposes of extract brewing it would be good to have the tap a bit lower, but this is easily overcome by tilting it.

    Good price, decent kit
    Review by Johnon 13/02/2014
I bought one of these as I was sick of syphoning or jugging my BIAB
wort into the fermenting vessel as my previous pot had no tap. As already mentioned the steel is slightly thin but seems sufficiently robust to be long term usable. The tap and hop stopper are better quality than I expected for the money and so I am pleased overall with the purchase. Delivery was quick and hassle free.

    Excellent Product
    Review by Robinon 13/01/2014
Very impressed. I bought this pan for my first attempt at BIAB brewing, and it served its purpose perfectly. It is constructed from quite thin steel, but this just makes it lighter, which is a plus... you just have to makes sure you don't chuck it around carelessly.
    Definitely recommended.

All parts as displayed on site arrived well packaged and without damage.

Impressed on the quality, just waiting for my stainless steel hose clips to arrive as my Son bought me a plate heat exchanger from BrewUk for Crimbo and want to use that in the next full mash batch.

Great for starting extract brewing and progression to all grain
    Review by Craigon 20/11/2013
I bought this pan so that I could start my progression from tinned kits to extract brewing with the idea that I wouldn't stop there. I have now brewed 3 extract kits and I am really happy with my purchase. Plans are to move up to all grain brewing. No doubt this pan will remain a crucial part of my brewing setup for some time.

    Looking good!
    Review by Anthonyon 05/11/2013
Looks a very good boiler - can't wait to try it out. Unfortunately looks like the hose barb in the photo wasn't included in my delivery. Not to matter I've picked one up from eBay for very little along with some PFTE plumbers tape to ensure a good seal.

The only pan you will need
    Review by Stuon 01/11/2013
I wanted to step up from kit to extract, with the option of steeping grains, BIAB, eventually leading on to all grain - this pan will cover all bases!
The pan may seem slightly flimsy, but I believe this is a major advantage as it allows the heat to penetrate the liquid a lot quicker, raising the temperature a lot quicker.
Fantastic solid ball cock fitted, very professional.
If I had only one criticism, it would be for a more solid connection where the handles are welded to the pan body (at present these are spot-tack welded on).
Really happy with this purchase, and as always Brew UK delivered in a very quick time, with all parts very well packaged and secured.

32 lt stainless Good Value Mash boiler
    Review by toneon 03/08/2013
Good quality stainless pan. Quality valve assembly on the side, ball valve is good as you can get a small bottle brush all the way through. The included fitting allows a 1/2" (ID) tube to fit snugly for directing to your fermentation vessels. You couldn't assemble this yourself any cheaper. Top Product! One thing to note is bottom of boiler is fairly thin, so distortion when heated causes rocking of the pan, but this is simple enough to overcome.

    Review by alexon 13/05/2013
Pan arrived and was very impressive for the money. Packaging was not so great. Cardboard box arrived with the valve sticking out the side and a nice dent in the pan.

Response from BrewUK - we have now reviewed the packaging and improved the protection. We will replace any damaged items.

At this price it was an easy choice...most other places i have looked are more expensive just for the pan itself...this was cheaper....with a tap...and hop strainer...from a well known make....it's a no brainer when looking for a pan of this type.

    Excellent
    Review by Quentinon 03/03/2013
This is a very good pan, and the hop strainer is very effective & does not clog(of course still necessary to pass wort through a straining bag to catch the seeds).
Much easier to use and clean than my old Burco wash-boiler.
    It will outlast me!

Bought this to get into AG, and used for the first time yesterday. Great piece of kit, the tap and hop strainer gives it the edge over a standard 'stock pot'.

The hop strainer is removable which makes it easy to clean too!

    Great big pot
    Review by Jameson 17/06/2012
Does exactly what it says, good for all heating and boiling. Perfect for 5 gallon batches. I'd say it's a bit big to heat on the stove, we have a pretty powerful double gas ring and it still took a long time to heat the sparge water and get to the boil. I'm probably going to buy a gas burner for it. The hop strainer is great, the tap makes fly sparging nice and easy. I'd recommend using some PTFE tape on the hose connector though, it dripped a little bit without.

All in all a very cost effective brew kettle that ought to last many, many batches.

    Review by Edmondon 29/01/2012
I've just done my first ever extract brew using this boiler and it was perfect for the job. I'm really glad I spent extra to get the hop strainer and tap, because it made running off the wort really easy - I just opened the tap and squirted it into the fermenter. Good quality pot.

    Excellent quality for the price
    Review by Manaliveon 08/01/2012
Have done three batches now and brew kettle does everything expected; the hop filter is extremely simple and very effective with no blockaging. A 5 gallon batch does not continually boil over (gas is more controllable) and the extra depth for 3/1/2 to 5 gal brew allows lid to be kept on and more heat/fluid retention.
