G'day guys (& gals?).

I just joined the forum & wanted to introduce myself...

I've been home brewing on & off for 15+ years now. I have a good level of experience in brewing extract/partial grain type brews, & am always experimenting.

My favourite styles are forward hopped Pale Ales, altered style Porters, Amber Ales, along with the odd Lager & Pilsner.

I look forward to interacting with you & hope you don't mind an Aussie on the forum.

On a serious note, to answer Hopadoodledoo & to help Old Elver, I can offer up a link to a well respected homebrew/craftbrew supply company here in Australia that ships domestically as well as internationally.

If you really can't obtain any Nelson Sauvin hops in your neck of the woods atm, the new season 2012 crop hop releases have just hit our brew shops within the last month. The Nelson Sauvin hop pellet or flower option are both available atm.

I have used this company myself when I was unable to obtain hops from my local brewshops & everything arrived quickly & in very good condition.

Like OE says, we try to promote BrewUK first and foremost, because they host the forum. It's a great place to learn about brewing and swap notes, and we try to keep it that way. Interesting to see what you have available where you are though - liquid hops? Is that something that is quite common for Australian Homebrewers? Can't say I've ever seen them before

I take the fact that NS are now available down under to be good news - it can't be long until they arrive here!

Thanks for the 'heads up' about BrewUK Hopa & OE. I certainly don't mean to tread on anyone's toes with the link I provided, especially the hosts of this forum. I know what it is like sometimes when you want a hop variety & it is out of stock everywhere in your local area. Some guys will go to any lengths to obtain them.

Realistically though, none of us are going to start ordering homebrew supplies from an Australian shop (unless we're really that desperate for Nelson Sauvin!), so it's not really that bad...

You know me too well Hopadoodledoo...I was asking some friends last night whether they could arrange for their family members in Aus and NZ to bring some Nelson Sauvin back. They thought I was mad
So I guess I'm going to have to buy some tickets

You wouldn't make regular orders from there though, it'd have to be exceptionally cheap to justify the postage!

It looks like it costs about £30 postage to get NS hops over from Australia....OUCH!

Greg said on Facebook today that Nelson Sauvin will be available in...... August

We could probably row to NZ and back before then! It's going to be a long 5 months eh? Coincidentally, August is when my next child is due, so there won't be any NS Single Hop Pale to wet the baby's head unless I'm very reserved between now and then
