Anyone ever tried making a clone of this?
The brewery website FAQ section says to contact them for the recipe if you fancy brewing it at home. I have done. Twice over the last month and not a dicky bird.
So I had a stab at formulating a recipe myself.
Again the website says Northern Brewer and Cascade, but the only 'recipes' I've found online use Challenger and Cascade and judging by various other comments sounds like that's what they used to use. Anyhoo, I've got some Challenger need using up, so Challenger it is!
4500g Maris Otter pale malt
250g crystal (120)
250g wheat malt
15g black malt
30g Challenger (7.6% AA) at 75 min
10g Cascade (7.2% AA) at 30 min
15g Cascade at 20 min
20g Cascade at 10 min
25g Cascade at 5 min
30g Cascade at post-boil steep
Comments welcome. Am I totally overdoing the Cascade?
