Wherry = wow!
Hello all,
Pleased to say that my Wherry was bottled a few weeks back and i had the first taste last night!
Amazing beer kit! Really is worth paying the extra money fora premium beer kit
The only concern I had was how much sugar to prime as my last batch was too lively!
if anyone else is brewing and bottling a wherry, i measured a level teaspoon and then cut that in half again and its perfect! [i used Newcastle Brown Ale bottles].

Great to hear. My Wherrys always turned out great and its the one kit I know that if im in short supply of AG beer and need a quick pick me up I could brew it and not worry one bit, also its easy to add bits to. I believe Saracen had a good way of adding "that bit extra" to a wherry kit here - http://www.brewuk.co.uk/forum/topic/barrelling-wherry-question#post-11134 (look at the 7th post).

Reboil? Hmmm, don't think I've ever heard of anyone doing that. What's it 'been doing' since the weekend?
If your dog has been at it, then there's no way you should pitch the yeast - similarly if it's been sitting around uncovered.
I suppose your only option is to reboil - at least 15 mins and let it drop to about 20C before pitching the yeast. If it was me I think I'd ditch it and start another one. I know you have invested money in it - but you'll also invest more time and LOVE into it and that may be wasted.
Good luck with it! What do other people think?

What the heck! Reboil and carry on as normal. When it's ready to drink and if you end up being sick all night and bite the postman the following morning then don't try a reboil again!

I agree with the reboil answer.
If you let your dog lick your face then he should be fine licking your beer.
A bigger issue is having to take your dog to all those AA meetings now.
If you feel funny sharing your beer with friends after its little tweak, then you could at least use it yourself the morning after a heavy night. Hair of the dog and all that.
Right...hometime...

Hi Donald. Could have been worse. The dog could have drunk it AFTER you'd fermented it.
Please, PLEASE tell me the dog wasn't wearing your aunt's teeth. Did he drop them in the Fermenter.... because if he did they'll go all discoloured.
How do you re-tune a strange smell?
Planning: - To get some more brews on now the weather's a bit cooler
Fermenting: - Ginger Beer experiment
Conditioning: - A normal bitter with Styrians
Drinking: - All of it!!
