With homage to the real trademarked Tizer. And following a suggestion by simonb_13 and Nath.

I present ... Turbo Tizer.

Part 5 of my Turbo series. Ginger Beer, Lemonade, Grapefruit, Limeade.... Turbo Tizer.

Very loosely based upon Based upon : http://www.brewuk.co.uk/store/index.php/recipes-ginger-beer

1,5 Kg Carrots.
125ml Waitrose Lemon Juice
1 tsp. Young’s Wine Yeast

~1 x 5 Litre Mineral Water

Sanitise and rinse all equipment.

Clean, but do not remove skin of carrots. (Or if the carrot look clean already - be lazy)
Chop carrots, remove top and tails.
Boil in plenty of water for 25 minutes.
In a separate pan, boil water - add sugar. Simmer for 5 mins and remove from heat.
Drain carrots - keeping the water and throw away mushy carrots.
Mix all in to a brew bin.
Add cool water.
Pour in to Demi-John, add yeast.

OG 1025

To Do:

Leave to ferment for ~10 days. Transfer to bottles, one sugar cube per bottles (500ml)

    Fantastic!

I have to ask though - why not use real tizer?

I made carrot wine once... my mother went through a phase of not being able to sleep - was prescribed all sorts of things to knock her out but none worked... then she discovered my carrot wine that no bugger would drink (not surprisingly). One glass and bang out cold. It had sat in the cupboard for 3 years waing for someone to throw it out. Maybe I should market it!

Good man .. keep up the series, what's next?

Beer will get you through the times of no money better than money will get you through the times of no beer
(with grateful thanks to the Fabulous Furry Freak Brothers and slightly adapted)
