I would highly recommend a Woodfordes Brewery tour... My local brewery which is a bonus. Of course it has nothing to do with the free 1/2 pints at the end of the tour. Or the Furr and Feather - Woodfordes Brewery Tap pub next door. Which just so happens to sell all of their ales including the excellent ale brewed for the World Cup - Game On...

Has anyone tried Sundew? I could go on....

Got me thinking - might pop up and have a trip around the brewery at some stage. Visited the 'Fat Cat' off the Dereham road last time i was up that way - that was very impressive to say the least!

    Mr H,

If you're ever in the Norwich area again email me... we have a load of real ale pubs that would match the Fat Cat pub.

The Cottage - Mauldons Brewery run 10 ales all tip top condition.
The Shed - Sister pub of the Fat Cat Fat Cat ales plus guest on tap.
The Kings Arms - Batemans Brewery run 18 ales at any one time.
The Kings Head - Free House all Norfolk brewery ales no lager!.
The Iron Duke - Free House 14 ales at anyone time.
The Whale Bone - Free House 14 ales at anyone time.
The Trafford Arms - Free House 10 ales at anyone time.
The Champion - Batemans Brewery run 10 ales including guests.
The Plough - Grain Brewery - 4/5 ales on at anyone time.
The Coach & Horses - Chalk Hill Brewery 5/6 ales including guests.

As you can see there are loads and they're just my favourite 10! I could name 5/10 more which serves a damn fine pint of ale.

    Love living in Norfolk...

    Neil

Must admit i love living here..

I think Norfolk has the second highest concentration of micro breweries for a county 34 at last count. Not sure who was number 1 but they're not too far in front of us.

Sounds good Howard... i can hear that engine starting soon and A11 bound shortly.. or A47...?
