Steam cleaner for sterilising bottles?
Just had a thoaght i own a small steam cleaner used for houshold jobs etc.Could you use the steam cleaner to sterilise the bottles before bottling after they have been cleaned out.Im guessing it would work at getting the labels off aswell.
And could you use a steam cleaner to sterlise the other parts of equipment for beer making.
Just a newbie to all this just had a brain wave but it may not be anygood if anyone could help.

I guess in theory it should work but not sure I would risk it personally. Maybe try a few and see what happens.

How long would it take to steam 40 bottles and how long would you have to steam each bottle before it was considered sanitised?
I use a pump action bottle cleaner with Star San solution and then drain them on a bottle tree. It's 1-2-3 squirts and then on the tree. Takes about 10 minutes to sanitise 40 bottle. The Star San is a no rinse contact sanitiser. There are other similar sanitisers out there that are cheaper but I like this stuff!

i guess could give it a go with a couple but i guess with the no rinse sanitisers you probably saving enough time anyway.
