stuwilliamsSiera Nevada

Now I love a drop of Siera Nevada pale ale, and as a nice easy weekday after work drink its great. Not too strong, very pleasant etc. However, sent a colleague to the bar last night asking for this, and he came back with Siera Nevada Torpedo which is 7.2%. A different kettle of fish altogether. Not horrible by any stretch, but I dont think it'll take the regular SN's place.

Anyone else keen on either of these?

Well, I like it. Has to be nice and cold though. And preferably accompanied by a nice home made burger and some sunshine.

I've spent most of today looking up SNPA clone recipes. Seems to be a wide variety of them out there... Its Bottle conditioned too, so had the crazy idea of trying to salvage the authentic yeast. Seem to remember that didnt go to well for you though Nath? Maybe its more agro than its worth.

Its on tap in the pub up the road... it is without doubt, the best pint available in the area. Absolutely amazing - mind you it should be for 3.95 a pint!

£3.95! jeezz, as the yanks would say. I'd get 5-6 bottles of the stuff and re-coup the yeast, but saying that it may well be different yeast to condition. Worth trying tho IMO. I went wrong as I was too slap dash about it, just give it a bit more love and attention (and somewhere out of sun light a big mistake of mine) and i'm sure it will be fine.
