nath812Sheratons white wine

2 years ago | Nath (Moderator)

Hi all,

So basically I have been given a 30 bottle wine kit by my neighbours and I have to ask some questions as the kit came with "limited" instructions!

What temp do you ferment wine at? I have a standard yeast that came with the kit but want to know what temps are good for it.

Im gonna have to buy 30 (yes thirty!) bottles to get this bad boy done so is there any tips people can give me to soften the process?

Conditionin'/Drinkin' - OPA Pale
Conditionin' - LEB Pale
Conditionin' - Thwaits Nutty Black
Plannin' - A user upper!

Hi Nath, ferment at around 18c should be fine.

As far as bottles go - Get up the recycling centre and collar people as they bin theirs (sunday would be a good day!)

Alternatively go bin raiding on recyling day (you may want to do this the night before under the cover of darkness but look out for the cops!

Alternatively get real drunk on 30 bottles of super cheap wine, watch out for the hangover on that one!

    Planning:Maybe a lager.
    Fermenting:
    Conditioning:Pale with Styrians
    Drinking:Cascade Pale Ale, Summer Lightning

If you give them that Sheratons then you should feel guilty anyway!

Actually it might be okay, I've never tried it to be honest!
