Secondary Fermentation in PET Bottles
Hello again,
Just got my Muntons Gold Pale Ale on the way.
Is it OK after primary fermentation to syphon into PET bottles such as these http://www.brewuk.co.uk/store/bottling/pet-bottles-1-litre-clear-carton-24.html
Is there any issue with pressure?
Many thanks for your help!

I've done two brews now using these, with a level teaspoon of sugar to prime, the result being that it pours with a nice head similar to how one would get from a pub handpull, i.e. not fizzy like normal bottled beer but lively.
Maybe more sugar would make it fizzier or maybe you never get it fizzy in PETs, dunno only a novice myself but its perfect for my taste..... and it means less trips to the garage to drain the barrel.

I have these bottles as well. I use 2 carbonation drops per bottle, which gives me the right level of fizz from about 3 weeks after bottling. Screwing the caps down with a towel, gives you a good grip for a tight seal. The long neck is also good for pouring, so no glug glugging to disturb sediment and finaly, they drain totally on a bottle tree after sterilising. Oh, and I supose I should add that the cost on this site is very reasonable.
