OK .. you are both responsible for my kids giving me grief. Missus is out for her 30 min jog, put the kids down as quietly as I could, poured a beer and read this - laughed out loud and now the kids are shouting, wanting to know what I was laughing at.

    Outstanding! All twelve???????

I can see some sort of ('now be quiet and go to sleep or I'll throw all your toys away') competition developing here. When is the next delivery?

    :o)

To be honest Plopleuk, I haven't tried the bottled stuff.. but the pj on tap is enough to make you cry. Big effin tears of joy. You'd gladly sell your mother and all who sailed in her for another pint.

If you see it on an offie or supermarket shelf, buy all you can get your hands on. It is the Holy Grail.

Well ... I made one a couple of weeks back - check my post, it has the recipe listed as National Homebrew Day - Proper Knob.. It is still in the secondary though so I can't tell you how close it is.

Proper Job is the mutts nuts when it comes to bottled ale and on draft too.

I think Waitrose also sell it around the country as do Sainsbury's but please don't quote me on that one. The last thing i want is 3 angry people coming up to Norfolk ready to linch me because the beer isn't in any of the stores because they don't stock it.

If you can get some Plople.. then go and get some before Greg buys more of the stock.

    Oh yeah baby its gooooooooooooood.

Greg was very nice and gave me 4 to tie me over. What a man! Anyone who can give 1/3 of his beer purchase to anyone is either:-

    a) MENTAL

    or

    b) Really, Really, Really, Really, Really, Really, Really, Really, Really, Really, Really, Really, Really, Really, Really, Really, Really, Really, Really, Really, Really, Really, Really, Really, Really, Really, Really, Really, Really, Really, Really, Really, Really, Really, Really, Really, Really, Really, Really, nice.

    I reckon b!

No worries Nath. 8 will last me, well for tonight anyway!

You can't get it in any supermarkets round here, well not as far as I know. There's only 1 shop which sells it and that was the one I got them from and they won't have any more until next week now.

I can highly recommend it. Lovely beer. Real hop taste and punch but without the massive bitterness of Punk IPA, much smoother. Definitely my favourite beer at the moment.

Clone recipe is definitely required as it will save me a fortune.

I'm brewing the Simcoe IPA which I never gone round too tomorrow + Ringwood 49er Clone so I'll let you know how they turn out.

Disater of a day no brew! First I couldn't find the hose adaptor for the wort chiller, second i've just got a new laptop after my last one went bang, pop, wizz so NO beersmith access, had several people call me and had to deal with companies house which just added time onto the morning and it got to late, so its happening tomorrow, my phone will be switched off for the brew! I've found my key code for Beer Tools (phew) but cant find my beer smith key

    so thinking of this:

    Batch Size

    Ingredients:
    2500 g Maris Otter
    2500 g English Wheat Malt
    15 g Amarillo (8.0%) - added during boil, boiled 60 min
    15 g Amarillo (8.0%) - added during boil, boiled 15 min
Lemon Peel added 10min to end
    Danstar Munich Yeast

or just a single malt pale with Nelson S hops

Just doing the workings out in beertools. Will post a seperate post on the brewday!

    Hi dandan
sorry to hear about the nightmare of a day you had, good luck with it today! I see you're going to use beertools as you don't have access to beersmith, I'll put up another post with another free piece of software that I've just discovered. May come in handy.
    Have a good day dan!

I lost my key, emailed beersmith and they got back to me in 2 hours with the key, so you never know, you might still be able to use it before brewday.
